"Sometimes I feel like I always make a mess of things." Arcee bemoaned, her vocoder weary.
"What are you talking about?" Elita asked, genuinely curious, as they stood on the plateau atop the Autobot base.
"Oh, you know what I mean."
Elita shook her head. "No, I don't, really, you can tell me."
The sun had started to set, just beyond the horizon.
Arcee sat down onto the ground, and she vented out a sigh, a way to keep herself grounded.
"I guess what I'm trying to say this that… I don't want anyone to think I'm playing this game with them, say what I don't mean, pushing them away."
She felt a heavy feeling in her chassis as she spoke, trying to forget when she had closed off her feelings, and why.
"Oh, I see, I've done that from time to time." Elita replied, sitting down next to Arcee. "It's what the humans call 'foot in mouth', and you ended up saying the wrong thing, or doing the wrong action."
Arcee couldn't help but chuckle. "Humans have a word for everything, don't they?"
Elita laughed as well. "Indeed, they do, but not always."
"It goes to show we're all imperfect, in this world and the next." Arcee surmised, and Elita nodded.
She vented out a sigh once again. Her chassis, now, her spark, started to feel lighter.
"Want to sit here for a bit before we head back down?" Elita asked, shifting herself closer to her fellow fembot.
Arcee looked to her and nodded. "Sounds good, my lady."
They then looked as the sun lowered into the ground, ready for nightfall.
