Civil War!Good Ending AU. Sodium thiopental is supposed to make you spill state secrets. Unfortunately for your kidnappers (and your dignity), your brain decides the only truth worth telling is the full, mortifying scope of your workplace crush on Bucky Barnes.
This includes the muffin incident. His forearms. The fact that you know his coffee order, his running schedule, and the exact shade of blue his eyes get in morning light. You tell them all of it.
They inevitably let you go. Not out of mercy, but out of sheer exasperation.
Which would be fine, funny even, a great story for the group chat... if not for the fact that it's Bucky who finds you afterwards. And that F.R.I.D.A.Y. pulled a full audio transcript. And that the team leads—including one James Buchanan Barnes—are required to review it.
Your interrogators probably should've thought to kidnap someone who works for the Avengers in a bigger capacity than Public Relations.
But hey, honesty is the best policy, right?
