“Amnesiac?”
“Yes. Apparently, your kid made him fall into the Lethe.”
Poseidon blinked, looking perplexed. “…The Lethe doesn’t work on divinities.”
“Trust me, I know,” Hades sighed. “But what was I supposed to do? Attack him while my son was there? If it had only been the girl Grace and your brat, maybe—” Poseidon narrowed his eyes. Hades ignored him. “Anyway, I wanted to wait until Persephone left the Underworld before doing anything.” There was a pause. “I’ve put him to work as a janitor in the meantime,” he added as an afterthought.
Where Hades swears he knows what he’s doing, Poseidon finds the whole thing hilarious, Zeus pretends not to know, Hestia, Demeter, and Hera are all exasperated, Nico is in the middle of a teenage crisis, Luke just wanted to overthrow Olympus and doesn’t think he deserves all this, Percy decides the situation could use a bit more chaos, Annabeth most certainly does not encourage him, and everyone else is just there to get their share of laughs. Meanwhile, Iapetus is convinced he’s fooled everyone.
