Summary
Evie’s first day of high school, Buck is more nervous than she is.
He was staring at the phone again when Eddie came up behind him, a knowing smirk tugging at his mouth. Without a word, he plucked the phone clean out of Buck’s hand.
“Eddie, give it back,” Buck said, reaching for it.
“She’s not going to call, because she’s fine,” Eddie said, holding it just out of reach.
“You don’t know that.”
Eddie sighed. “Breathe, Buck. It’s just high school.”
