             The Castle of Dream began to crumble, and Subaru had extended his arm as he made a pact with Echidna, the Witch of Greed.

             However, this time, Subaru was no longer the man who devalued himself as anything less. He knew, with the words of Satella, that his pain brought others the same. So he chose to value himself the same way his friends do.

             Subaru Natsuki would not die for anything trivial. Not ever. He would choose to live. Even if that meant having a greedy witch in his head whispering in his mind to satisfy her lust for knowledge, he would not yield. Now it was up to him to save his friend while finding the will to live.

     

             Subaru accepts the contract from Echidna, but only listens to her when she offers a solution that involves him not dying.
