Chapter 1: No Control

Chapter Text

Xisuma opened his eyes with a slow inhale as he spawned back onto Hermitcraft. Another admin meeting had just finished, and normally X would leave immediately after, not wanting to leave his server alone for a long time. A group of admins had dragged him into an hour-long conversation.

Said group of admins had heard how Hermitcraft was a chaotic server. They all wanted to know how he manages his server, so he did. He let the admins in on his secrets.

“You’re back late.” Keralis voice could be heard as he walked into the kitchen.

“I got stuck in a conversation about the Hermits.” Xisuma sat down at the table.

Keralis gave him a look as the player went around making dinner. Some admins thought that the Hermits were just a bunch of overgrown kids. While the Hermits were chaotic they weren’t immature like most of the admins believed they were.

“What did they want?” Keralis set two plates on the table.

“The Admin Council asked me how I manage my Hermits.” Xisuma pulled his helmet off and sighed. “The secret is, I have no control over them whatsoever.”

The other player nodded as they both began to eat. “Like this morning, Grian called me, and when I showed up to see what was going on, Gem smacked me in the throat with her pickax.”

Keralis laughed at him. “Sorry, sorry. But that's funny.”

Xisuma glared at his co-admin who was still laughing at him. Rolling his eyes, Xisuma went back to eating his dinner. It took a or two moments for Keralis to calm down, but a giggle or two slipped out. Xisuma gave Keralis another look before said player erupted into a fit of giggles.

“Stop laughing at me!” Xisuma lightly kicked the other player.

That, did not help, the giggles only got worse. Xisuma sighed, he had to deal with the admins, now he had to deal with his giggling co-admin. If you asked Xisuma, he would say he much rather deal with his Hermits than the admins.
