Etho, while wandering to what he thought was the edge of the Hermitcraft world, instead comes across a hill that leads up to an infinitely spanning grassy field where the sun never moves and it's freezing fucking cold. He alerts Xisuma who seals it off and goes to investigate it, but something's calling Etho back to the east and it doesn't go well for anybody involved.
OR: Etho gets tormented by the Watchers because I fookin said so an I have free will
The AU itself is called "There's Something In The Sky", but the shorter version is called Static Skies/Static AU, so both can be used interchangeably
Every Hermit as of S10 is here even if just for a brief moment, but the season isn't actually specified. Just pretend it's one of the later ones like 7-10 or something

Summary
Gem only recently discovered who she really is, the princess of Eremita. With her coronation in only a week, she has to adapt to her new life quickly. As the threat of war creeps ever closer Gem is forced to step into her role as princess as the fate of the kingdom depends on it.
Pearl is the newly appointed handmaiden to the princess. She was resentful at first because the royal family were the ones keeping her and her brother enslaved, but soon she realized that not every royal is all that bad. Princess Gem is so nice to her even after finding out about her wings. When her brother is planning the assassination, of the Princess, she’s caught between her best friend and her family.

No one ever promised Technoblade safety before.
Plenty of people have offered him plenty of things, but they were always presented as deals. Techno gives himself to them in exchange for something: renown, his life, an escape route off a dying planet. It all seems the same after enough time, and this latest server is no different. The revolution that was supposed to come of it never did.
Techno is tired and done with it all. Frankly, he doesn't even care if there's an age minimum for retiring. If he wants safety, he obviously has to make it for himself.
