"I can’t believe we’re having a sleepover again after all this time."
Sora had missed it, the two of them together like this. It took some time to fall back into his life on the islands, and it still didn’t feel quite right here. He’d grown up since leaving, he just wasn’t the same boy anymore that thought building a raft could get them anywhere.
Being here with Riku should feel like it had back when they were younger, as simple as when they were children and sleepovers at each other’s houses had happened more often than they hadn’t.
But of course it wasn’t that simple anymore.
