    It took a beat for him to register what exactly he was seeing and step back in alarm. There was no way the squad seven commander could be here, was there? How could it get inside the academy - or clone him that quickly, for that matter?

    But rather than attack him or run for the defense room, the imposter instead clutched his own arms in a strangely familiar gesture and seemed to notice Takumi for the first time, blinking at him with a blank look. That was definitely his face, his body, but everything else, from the way he stood to the expression on his face was wrong.

    When Takumi managed to speak, it was with a voice that was not his own.
