Ranga's Perspective:
It's almost Christmas here in Mud (formerly named Dirt). The golden sun shines its light on the town. All of the houses are decorated in evergreens. Everybody is lively chatting with each other. Some children were playing and chasing each other. Ranga smiles at this.
Everything has been going great ever since she brought back the water. The town is now a lot bigger than before. The mole family moved into Mud and Angelique became the mayor.
Ranga then enters the saloon. The saloon is crowded like always. All of the people here conversed with each other over drinks. Wounded Bird, Doc, Elgin, and Beans sat near the wooden bar table. Spoons, Ambrose, Mr. Furgus, and Waffles sat near a wooden circular table.
Buford spots Ranga and greets her, "Hey sheriff, Merry Christmas." Ranga tips her hat to him and beams, "Merry Christmas to you too Buford!" She then takes a seat between Elgin and Beans. Buford pours a glass of cactus juice and gives it to the sheriff. (Ranga eventually got used to the taste of cactus juice. She has even taken a liking to it.)
Ranga then begins to chat with Beans and the rest of the old posse. They talk about their plans for Christmas and other things in their lives. As everyone else chatted with each other more, the more Ranga spaced out.
It's been such a long time since she last saw.......
Rattlesnake Jake.
How has he been? Ranga recalls her first meeting with the fearsome outlaw. He publicly humiliated her and exposed her for being a fraud in front of all the townspeople. Speaking of exposing her for being a fraud, how did he know that she was actually a fraud? How did he know that she didn't actually kill all those Jenkins brothers with 1 bullet? How did he know that she wasn't actually from the west? Hmmmmmmm......
"Hey um, Ranga? Earth to Ranga," Beans spoke as she waved her hand in front of the sheriff. "Are you even listening to me!?" Ranga is immediately snapped out of her thoughts. "Oh um, sorry Beans," the sheriff replied. "Something wrong sheriff?" Elgin asked as he tilted his head. "Yeah, you kind of just froze like Beans did," Mr. Furgus added. "Oh, it's just about Rattlesnake Jake, that's all," the sheriff responded.
Everybody in the saloon became dead silent at the mere mention of Rattlesnake Jake. They all collectively looked at the sheriff. "Um w-w-what about J-Jake?" Spoons stammered. "Oh it's just that I still have no idea how figured out that I was a fraud," Ranga answered. "I didn't tell anybody that I didn't kill those Jenkins brothers nor that I'm from the city. It just makes no sense for him to just immediately figure that out that I was lying when he first met me."
"Yeah.... you're right," Ambrose replied. "How did he figure out that you were lying?" Everybody in the saloon mutter and nod to each other.
