Summary
When Sirius refuses to take the mark, Walburga and Orion send him to Durmstrang to undergo re-education. But they don't stop there; they tell Regulus that he can't play Quidditch and must devote all his time to studying to make the family proud.
The Black brothers hatch a plan to break Sirius out of Durmstrang and find a way for Regulus to play Quidditch by intercepting their parents' letter to the school. They then have Regulus return to Hogwarts, disguised as Sirius, and tell everyone that Regulus was the one sent to Durmstrang.
He just needs to find a way to switch from beater to seeker, and somehow convince Sirius's best friends that it's not weird that he won't change into Padfoot and has an entirely different sense of humor than he used to.
Or, the Marauders meets She's the Man/Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.
James Potter is the Duke Orsino to Regulus Black's Viola. Remus feels betrayed, thinking Sirius has moved on, and Lily just wants everyone to stop trying to hit on her.
Chaos, heartbreak, and humor ensue.
With a happy ending, of course, because this is a Shakespearean comedy, not a tragedy, people.
