Pov: Dick Grayson
Today was good, Dick managed to have a good night sleep with no rogues ruining that, he ate breakfast with the family and even had a brunch date with Walls, Wally was really a love sap fool for Dick because he gifted Dick a beautiful sapphire ring.
Really, Wally had just proposed to him and Dick couldn't be more happy! His boyfriend for 5 years had now become his fiancée, he couldn't wait to tell Bruce about the news before dinner later. Well, after dealing with Riddler again before dinner.

Everyone was hanging around the table, chatting and even some small arguments that was soon stopped by Dick. Suddenly he gets a video call by Wally, Dick beamed with happiness as he answered it.
"Heya Walls! What's good?"
"Nothing much baby, I was wondering what I should get you for our anniversary tomo—"
Dick's smile instantly faded as he quickly ended the call and slammed his phone down onto the table, everyone stared at him. Even Bruce who had heard the conversation, Jason spoke up, of course he had to.
"What the fuck was that? 'Baby'?"
Dick felt like getting swallowed by a black hole, he wasn't ready for them(exclude Bruce because he already knows)to know yet!
"Nothing nothing! It's just a stupid nickname he gave me to tease me."
"That reaction you did doesn't show irritation to the teasing, I also heard anniversary. What anniversary?" Tim chimed in.
Fuck fuck, Dick was close to combusting, he should've informed Walls that he was having dinner right now so he knew not to do that shit.
"It's just an anniversary for our friendship, you know? Like Damian and Jon."
Damian has tensed up at that and scowled, Dick was confused why but before he could say anything Damian cut him off.
"Dami-"
"Grayson, do not bring my name into this mess of yours. Let's focus on your relationship with West, are you two an item?"
That brat just interrupted Dick, anyhow he should really focus on himself before everyone knows, he's not ready for the protective work they'll do, or the shovel talk for Walls. Dick sends Bruce a pleading look for help, Bruce just hummed back, what a fucking betrayer!
"Of course not! Why would we be? He's into women, not men"
"In his files, he's confirmed to like men."
Okay wow Barbs, exposing his partner just like that? And where did she even get that tablet from??
"Okay maybe he likes men but we're not into each other! We're just two gay dudes who are best friends
That was probably the most stupidest thing Dick have ever said, by the looks of others, it was the stupidest thing he said.
"Kids, leave Dick alone and eat your dinner before it gets cold, Alfred wouldn't like that"
The others just huffed and continued to eat their dinners, he was thankful that Bruce had stepped in and thankful for Cass not speaking up. Dick really needed to talk to Wally and apologize with kisses due to the abrupt call ending after dinner.
