   Summary

   Melinoë grew up understanding two things. One, her duty was to kill Time, her grandfather. Second, only she could succeed in such a thing.

   It was a lot of pressure to put on a child, but Melinoë accepted her task wholeheartedly. Too many people (gods, goddesses, shades, and mortals) relied on her.
