   Summary

   The story continues from "The Farmer and the Island" - Rachel is taken by the mysterious cult member Jio with only his word that it is for her safety. Whisked away from Coral Island while visiting her sister Julie, she is now hiding on the other side of the world - in the Ferngill Republic and the small, unassuming Ridgeside Village. She has to find a way to bind her time while waiting for her sister to eventually find her - what she finds is possibly a new life and a larger threat connected to what Julie and her team already encountered in the Savannah.

   Could life in Pelican Town and Ridgeside Village be better than the life she knew in Pokyo?
