Harry is not stupid and he never was a one.
Harry is four and he can count to 20 and he can make his housework as well.
Harry is four and he knew that, children don't live in The cupboard under the stairs.
Harry is four and he knew that, what is relatives do is not normal, or the strange things he can do either.
Harry is four and he made a decision, when he is old enough he will run away.
He don't have a pen or a notebook because his cousin doesn't have one, but he can made a plan in his mind and repeat it every day and every night until it engraved in his head.
This plan will take years and he knew it, but he knew if he didn't get himself out of here no one will, it's a sad fact but he didn't really focus on it.
First he needs money, the only way to get money from his relatives his "Dudly" and that's because he is the only person who can't count in thus house and he wastes too much money, that he won't notice if he lost a dollar in the middle of it, but Harry must be careful, and this is a skill he learned through the years he lived with the Dursleys, and this is a survivor sign if he knew, but Harry doesn't know it yet.
The Second thing he needs is informations, and the only source for informations in this house is his aunt only if you know how to get it.
"How a beautiful dress aunt Petunia, by the way was my mother name was a flower too?"
"huh you may have some taste in there, yeah Lilly, it's a tradition in our family to name girls after flowers"
If he was lucky she won't notice until he get all the informations he needs and maybe more until someone/something interrupt them.
On the other hand, and for so many time he get caught, and get punched for putting his freaky nose in others business.
But at least in 1 out of 15 times he get some useful informations.
His mother name was Lilly.
His father name was James.
James Lilly and Harry Potter.
He really loves his family names. It's much better than the Dursleys.
He is smart enough to know that they lied to him when they said his parents didn't die in a car accident while the were drunk, and he is sure about that specially after hearing some of his uncle and aunt's strange comments about that "accident".
But he doesn't know what really happened yet.
And the most important thing he new is the name of the place he used to live in with his parents.
He can't really remember that's conversation because his aunt hit his head with a flying pan, but he is sure she mentioned something like Godric's Hollow.
When you ask Harry where is obsession with maps started , he will tell you how he spends hours (while his cousin is searching for him in Harry's hunting game ) in the public library searching and looking in every map Until his eyesight deteriorated , and just after 2 years and 4 months and 13 days he finally find it.
At age of 8 and after exactly 4 years of putting this plan, Harry finally run away, and started his journey to find his Home.
