Mingi thought it would be just a normal birthday. Sleeping in, the members dragging him through sunny LA. Having a fun day at the pier. But Yunho had other plans. Somewhere between sharing ice cream and watching the city fade into gold from a secluded hill, Yunho’s smile feels like it was meant only for him. He didn’t expect his gaze to linger like that. By the time they’re back at the hotel, Mingi’s heartbeat hasn’t slowed once. Yunho isn’t saying goodnight, and Mingi isn’t asking him to leave. They’ve been best friends forever, danced around this for years. Tonight, maybe, they stop pretending. Mingi gets to end his birthday in the best way possible, well…maybe wishes really do come true.
