Yes Day

Summary:

Nick has decided to bring home a tradition he does with his kids at school, Yes Day, Charlie is skeptical. Absolutely anything can happen!

Notes:

This was inspired by the drabble Prompt "Yes Day" and so yes, I do accept that the title is simply the prompt, but it works so we're going with it. I have to say, I think I agree with Charlie on the potential for abject disaster in this scenario, but the one other thing that children are inevitably capable of is surprising us, so it's worth the open mind.
Thank you, Riley, for the prompt, and for being patient with us as they come in.

Work Text:

“Are you sure, Nick?”

“I do these with the kids at school, it’s so fun.”

“Yes, but at school there are boundaries. Our feral creatures are going to show no mercy.”

“We promised,” Nick  says, turning to the kids. “Right fiends, what’s first,”

“Can we have icecream for breakfast?”

“Yes, of course!”

“Can we go to the museum?” Bailey looks sheepish.

“Yes, darling, any particular exhibit?”

“DINOSAURS!” both kids roar simultaneously. “Can we dress up?”

“Yes, show us what we’re wearing.”

“This scarf is for you daddy, and this hat. Papa, you need these socks and that coat.”

“Let’s go!”
