Summary
Decades ago, humans have figured out how to mix animal and human DNA, making animals that are part human. Hybrids.
Because hybrids are first animals, then humans, they are incredibly instinct driven and usually act in the same way as their animal counterparts. This makes it impossible for them to function in a human society, so laws are put in place for all hybrids to live happily under the guardianship of an "owner”. A human who will protect, teach, and love their hybrid. This is the ideal, but not many hybrids are able to have such good owners, or even decent ones.
Y/N, a lonely college student living in the heart of Seoul, has never had a family. Abusive parents caused her a life of trauma, so her childhood was filled with hopping from foster home to foster home, without any stability or love. Even so, Y/N managed to put herself through college, and is now finally in her last year of University, but her academic success has not helped her manage her crippling anxiety, PTSD, and overall loneliness.
