He stands, and she comes down the steps, and then he’s holding her. Kissing her. For the first time in twenty years he is kissing his wife. Every night he passed out thinking of her, even when her face stopped coming to him clearly. He barely notices when Sam and Dean stand up and leave.
Mary breathes, “You’re real.”
