Work Text:
If anyone were to ask Bob what his favorite thing about his wife was… it’d be her laugh. Now, maybe it was a cliché way to answer, as when hadn’t a husband claimed to love the way their wife laughed?
Lin’s laugh was unique, like nothing he’d ever heard until she came into his life. It wasn’t like a bell. Instead, it came out wild and messy. There’s nothing neat about it. When something really got her going, she’d make this sound that started in her throat and tumbled out all crooked and real. Her laugh—well, to be more honest, it was a cackle, but a cackle of pure elation nonetheless.
Just a full-bodied laugh that had her shoulders shaking with mirth, her eyes having that special twinkle of love shining in her eyes that was only reserved just for Bob as he managed to make her full-on snort-laugh with his silly impressions. It wasn’t pretty or musical—it was better than that. It was just Lin, pure and simple, like she couldn’t hold the joy inside even if she tried.
Maybe some people would find it annoying—but not him—every time he hears her laugh, he finds himself falling in love with her all over again; and he wouldn’t have it any other way; not in a million years.
