Chapter Text

These new party members were weak. Tomura needed strong characters with powerful abilities, all he got was a lizard heteromorph obsessed with stain, a teenage girl obsessed with blood, a pyro maniac who probably wouldn't listen to him, a crazy man who kept contradicting himself, another crazy man who kept performing magic tricks and a somewhat well adjusted woman.

There had been a few other candidates but Kurogiri had said to turn them down because, 'Their personalities would make them too much of a liability to the League.' It wasn't fair, Master had said he could have anything he wanted for this mission but now he wasn't allowed to unlock all the characters? It wasn't fair.

Even worse was that they made the bar feel crowded, all of them crammed in. Dabi, the man with a patchwork of scars, took up a whole booth! Not only was he acting like he owned Tomura's hideout but he was also smoking, not that it made Tomura want to cough but the smell was just horrible.

Suddenly, there was the rattle of a latch and a rush of wind on his back, he turned to see that the window had somehow been unlocked and pushed open. Through it came a letter, neatly folded and tied with a piece of twine to hold it closed, being carried on a small, red feather.

"What the hell? What kind of quirk is that? Wow cool, I totaly know how that worked!" Twice said with a small, startled scream. He was sat with Mr. Compress and Magne, playing some kind of boring card game.

"Red feathers that move on their own, that's the No. 3 hero's quirk," Magne supplied as she stood up, "That means the heroes know we're here, we should get out before they try to arrest us."

She lifted up the big cloth-wrapped box she brought in with her and began to walk towards the bar counter, expecting Kurogiri to open a portal to somewhere safe. Expecting Tomura's minion to listen to her orders, all of these new allies were insufferable.

"Wait, allow me to read what he's written, if it's a threat I'll warp you all to safety. If he has another motive behind this, mabye he could be a useful asset to Tomura Shigaraki. Heroes don't normally order villains to surrender via written message." Kurogiri said with that flat tone of his, he was kind of bland but a useful asset. Tomura still didn't know how his hands worked, but he reached the smokey clouds out to the leter before pulling of the twine to unfold it.

The bartender stared at it for a long time, at least a couple of minutes, before looking up again. He refolded the letter, this time into a paper aeroplane, and threw it back towards the open window. The moment the paper cossed into the outside a long red feather stabbed through it, then a figure dropped from above to sit on the windowsill.

A chorus of suprised noises came from the villains inside the room; gasps, 'No way's and 'Wow's.

"Hello, Hawks. You weren't someone the Legue of Villains expected to be contacted by, my name is Kurogiri. If I could ask to speak to you privately?" Tomura saw the purple fog appear behind the hero, Hawks turned to look at it aswell, poking an experimental wing through it in an attempt to figure out the portal's mechanics.

"Sure, man, whatever you want." Then the hero leaned back through the portal, Kurogiri moving to follow quickly behind.

"Wait I'm coming too." Tomura interrupted.

"This could be a trap, Tomura Shikaraki, allow me to-"

His skin started to itch, did Kurogiri think that he couldn't handle one hero? How rude, "I'm the leader of this organisation, I'm interviewing all the wannabe members."

"Very well." With that another portal was opened, this time for him to use. As he stepped through he adjusted his father's hand, a boss is supposed to look his best afterall.

Kurogiri took him to a rooftop, he recognised the view quickly, he was on the other side of the city. The loud side of the city, where it would be hard to notice if they started a commotion.

"There you are, man, thought you were going to just warp me here and leave me to find my way home." Hawks' smile was sickening, the default expression all heroes had. He hated it.

"Why do you want to join the League Of Villains, hero. It doesn't quite align with your profession." Tomura spat out, he held his hands at his sides, ready, if the hero made a move to attack Tomura would turn him to dust before he could even reach them.

"Straight to it, huh? Well I'm not interested in joining the League, I'm interested in change. Big change. Right now, you guys are the best bet I have at making that happen, you made a name for yourself. Attacking the USJ. The Nomu and Stain incident in Hosu. You're obviously serious about whatever goal you have, that kind of determination is a big part of success," The hero turned away from them, his smile dropping, "I don't want to kill anyone innocent, that's just not the kind of person I am but if I can get what you guys need to do what you need to do, I'd be alright with that. Schedules, equipment, money. I just want to ask that you change society. Really change it."

A heavy tension hung over them, all silent, all waiting for what Tomura would say. This was a big decision, a choice that would affect the rest of the game. Hawks could be a valuable ally or he could be a lying traitor. He turned to Kurogiri.

"From what I can tell, he seems to genuinely want whatever 'change' he claims to be after," The smokey man took a step back, "It's your decision to accept him or not."

Tomura took a breath, "I am Tomura Shigaraki, leader of the League of Villains. As one of its members I expect you to show me respect."

"Sure thing, boss."

The League dropped their defensive attitudes towards the hero when Tomura told them he had accepted Hawks.

Toga and Twice were quick to befriend him, they excitedly listened to his stories of heroism, Spinner also tried to subtly eavesdrop but he needed to level up his stealth because he was super obvious.

Hawks had suggested that the League should find a new base of operations, using the logic of; 'If I could find it, I can't imagine it will take other heroes much longer to do the same.' Which Tomura had agreed to. He had the same thought, he was just going to arrange a place to go before announcing a move.

Dabi was the most mistrusting of the traitorous hero. Threatening to burn the bird's wings at the slightest indication of betrayal, mabye the walking flamethrower was more valuable than Tomura had originally assessed. Though whether is was loyalty to his new comrades or self preservation Tomura didn't know.

Hawks had given Kurogiri his adress, some high-rise appartment block in Fukuoka, but said not to warp him into it. Apparently top heroes had cameras that the Hero Public Safety Commission could watch them with, or at least the No.3 did.

After that Hawks was gone, leaving them with his phone number and a promise to help then out with anything they asked. Absolutely anything. Equipment, schedules, money. Not that Tomura needed money, Master paid for all his expenses, a cheat code for spending.

The League had big plans, UA's first years were going to a sunmer training camp. It was a perfect opportunity, with so many unprepared children and so few qualified heroes.

All they needed was some high grade gear.

Tomura's original plan was to ask Giren to find a source, but now with Hawks, Tomura had access to the best of the best. Naturally, this could also serve as a test of loyalty for the hero. It was a perfect plan!

Then once the League had buffed their stats, it would be almost too easy to complete the quest objective and recruit the aggressive, explosive boy. His attitude wasn't suited for heroism, it would only hold him back from reaching his full potential.

A smile cracked along his face, pulling at his chapped lips.

Everything was going so well, all he needed to do was say the word and all his plans would be carried out! Tomura was enjoying being the leader, this class was so fun to play.
