Summary
Soulmates aren’t common. They’re rare enough that most people don’t think about them, let alone wait for one. The idea exists, but only as an abstract possibility—something that happens to other people. If someone does have a soulmate, they won’t know until they turn 35, and switch with their soulmate until they touch. By then, most already have a life built without them. Some walk away from what they’ve established, others choose to ignore the connection entirely, but most simply hope that if they do have a soulmate, it’s someone they already know.
Will is about to turn 35 and doesn't even think about soulmates before bed. But what happens if he's suddenly not in bed asleep and instead standing over a partial Ripper tableau holding a scalpel in a body not his own?
