Summary
It is the spring of 1999. Sam has just turned sixteen, and is in the tiny town of Moses Lake, Washington with twenty-year-old Dean. After finding reports of a haunting, John sends the boys to hunt on their own, as an early birthday gift to Sam, promising meet up with the boys after his own hunt and to let Sam finish out his sophomore year at the same school once the hunt is complete. Settling in, Sam and Dean begin to prepare for the hunt, but quickly find out that there is more to the small town than meets the eye. Dark forces circle the boys, friendly townsfolk hide more than meets the eye, and opposing sides in an ancient war make the first moves in a long foretold plan. Naturally, Sam and Dean are caught right in the eye of the storm, and must work together to escape some of the worst kinds of monsters they have come across in their long, storied career of hunting.
