i forgot this was a miraculous ladybug fic. the storytelling, the characterization. SO GOOD WOW.
the research done for ur stories, the thought and effort and EVERYTHING LEAH OHMYGODDD. harry truly was the one that got away and is practically the whole reason gabriel did a full 180.
also harry being the third, and emilie orchestrating it like ohhhh i know emilie embodied that adventurous, “decadent” kind of life which included multiple sexual relationships. like my mind went to nathalie and how emilie most definitely flirted and brought her into gabriel’s and her relationship. gabriel, on the other hand, doesn’t care for those kinds of experiences but will indulge because emilie wants to and his whole life revolves around emilie.

I love this imagining of what Gabi's and Harry's lives might have been like, back before Gabi met Emilie. Especially with the historical backdrop of the AIDS crisis and all the homophobia floating around. Myladynoire does an excellent job of crafting this melancholy atmosphere. Both Gabi and Harry are being stifled in this small town and want to get out, though Gabi's more afraid than Harry is.
The second chapter follows up awhile later, after Gabi's married Emilie. I love seeing some of the steps Gabi went through with being discovered and changing up his appearance to fit in with the rich.
