Summary
“What are you reading?” he asked them, pausing on his way back to the showers.
Atsumu glanced up at him, “Fan fiction.”
“What’s that?” Kageyama furrowed his brow.
“It’s, you know,” Atsumu waved a hand in the air, not taking his eyes off of Hinata’s phone. “When people write fictional stories about celebrities or characters in movies or tv or whatever, really.”
“They make up stories about made up people?” he asked, confused.
“Yeah,” Hinata and Atsumu said in unison, still not looking up from the phone.

Kageyama is introduced to fan fiction by some of his teammates and goes down the rabbit hole because of one particular writer who has a lot of stories about him and Oikawa, among other V League athletes. The stories bring up his not so repressed feelings about Oikawa and he tries to (unsuccessfully) resolve them. Meanwhile, Oikawa is working on resolving his feelings for Kageyama in a slightly different way.
