“You're a fucking hypocrite, you know that?”
“And how's that?”
“You say don't hurt kids, and yet you went after Tim.”
Jason turns to face her properly.
She keeps going, “You were a full grown man, and you went after a kid for no good reason.”
“I'll agree that it wasn't a good reason, but he wasn't exactly hurt.”
“You still tried! He was younger than you, and you were an adult. You should have known better.”
“I don't think he'd appreciate the method of your defense, but fine. Let's do this.
"How much do you know about me?”
“I know enough.”
“So pretty much nothing, then.
"I was fifteen when I died. Six months six feet under. Two years in a coma and brain dead. Then I woke up, spent about a year training, and came back to Gotham.
"I was sixteen, by my count, when I attacked Tim.
"Tim? Was seventeen.
"He's older than me.
"I wear a helmet to avoid brain damage, and because I look my age. Hard to get respect as a crime lord when you're not an adult yet.
"But you're a bat. You're supposed to be a detective. So fucking detect. And don't come after me with your shit faulty hypotheses.”
“You're-. You're younger than him?”
“Sure am.”
“Jesus.” She steps back.
Hmm. He maybe shouldn't have admitted that.
He bares his teeth, “Still, you have a point. I haven't been a kid since I was nine. There you go, still an adult, keep thinking of me however you like.”
“But you weren't.”
“You'd be the only one to think so.
"Everyone I talked to as Robin, every good man, every hero, every superhero, they all agreed I was an adult. If you're Robin, you're an adult.
"By that metric, it's fine that I attacked Tim. One adult attacking another. Still not a problem.
"So take your unnecessary platitudes, and leave me the fuck alone.”
