Summary
Spencer Reid has always had unhealthy coping mechanisms, thoughts that spin on repeat, the classic tales of depression, and untreated ADHD. He's smart enough to know that, but it doesn't take a genius to take one look at him and realize that he's not the most normal person in the book.
When Strauss has him involuntarily committed though, the BAU team suspects something greater and fights to have him out. The problem arises in the form of Reid's mental health that landed him there (at least partially) in the first place, bureau red tape, and of course, Strauss's iron fist.
OR: Reid gets hospitalized instead of JJ leaving.
