    Zelda rushed forward, and unthinkingly leapt off the edge after him extending her hand to reach for him. She stared into those pained sky blue eyes and could only think: I need to save him, no matter what.

    And the stone in her hand began to glow with a warm yellow light, the color of a protective hearth.

    Link was reaching out his uninjured hand, she was so close could almost grasp it. With one final stretch she closed her fingers, only for them to close around empty air. Link continued to fall as his body began to glow with the same golden yellow light and in the blink of an eye, he vanished right in front of her.

    “LINKKKKKK!”
