Summary
As if cued by Alexis’ words, the floodlights turned on one by one, bathing the pitch in blinding white. Sparkling motes of light filled the air, like a meteor shower in slow motion. Those pinpricks of light scattered to nothingness as they gathered around him and melted on his exposed skin in miniature explosions of cold. Kaiser hummed, turning his face up to the sky — ah, it had started snowing, and it was gorgeous.
“It’s so beautiful,” Alexis breathed, awe ringing clearly in his tone. Instead of looking up, he looked beside him, and Kaiser could feel the weight of his scrutiny bearing down on him.
