A Small Reminder

Summary:

Caitlyn has a jealous streak a mile wide. Vi purposely riles her up because Caitlyn likes to remind her who she belongs to.

Work Text:

Vi leaned against the bar, idly tapping her fingers on the stained, chipped wood as she watched the bar tender making her drink. She glanced up at the bartender’s face and the young woman blushed and smiled shyly as she looked away.

Vi grinned and slid a few steps over until she was standing directly across from her, leaning on the counter with her arms crossed in a way that accentuated her biceps. “Hi,” she said, charm oozing from her lips. “I’m Vi, by the way.”

The woman met her eyes briefly, then cleared her throat awkwardly and glanced away again. “Hi. I don’t think I’ve seen you around. You new around here?”

“Lived here all my life, actually. Just trying out some new places, the old routine was getting stale. You understand.”

The young woman nodded and reached under the bar briefly, coming back with a fresh bottle of whiskey and the opened with needless flair, obviously showing off. When she’d finished pouring and turned away from Vi to sit the bottle on the shelf with the other open bottles, Vi caught her sneakily messing with the front of her top. When she turned back around her cleavage was nearly bursting from the confines of her shirt, showing off the very tip of a butterfly tattoo on the side of her tit.

“Well, I hope you consider us for your new routine,” she said, her voice lower and more sultry than before. It was an obvious flirtation and Vi allowed herself a smirk.

She knew what was coming. Could sense it, taste it, could feel the eyes on the back of her neck.

“I’m liking what I see so far,” Vi said, playing it up. Tension thickened in the air but the bartender didn’t seem to notice. “Bathroom’s clean, tables are spaced so I’m not up some stranger’s asshole, and the service? Beautiful.”

The woman’s whole face flushed, the red disappearing down her shirt. “I- I just… I mean… You’re- oofh. Hold on, I’m thinking.”

Vi trailed her fingers across the side of the counter, stretching out her fingers to show off the flex in the muscles of her hands. “Take all the time you need.”

A chair squealed as it scraped across the vinyl floor and Vi licked her lips in anticipation.

Finally.

Vi gasped when she felt familiar fingers thread through her hair and tighten, Caitlyn’s long nails scratching delightfully against her scalp. A lazy grin spread across her face and Caitlyn pulled back on her hair until Vi was staring at the ceiling.

Cait pressed her open lips to Vi’s neck first, a loving little gesture that made her shiver, then Cait’s teeth grazed against her skin. She bit down, sucking Vi’s skin into her mouth and branding her. It didn’t last long, her lover didn’t linger, and just as quickly as she’d appeared Cait released Vi entirely and walked back to their table.

Vi raised an eyebrow at her and Caitlyn just shrugged, unbothered, delicately crossing one leg over the other when she sat.

She knew that Caitlyn had left a dark mark and a lipstick print- marking her territory.

Vi sighed and shook her head with glee in her eyes, then turned back to face the bartender. The young woman was biting her lip to suppress a grin and slid Vi’s cocktail across the counter.

“So…” the woman started, shifting from foot to foot. She seemed disappointed but amused, keeping her eyes low as she pulled up on her top to hide away her breasts. “You’re taken?”

Vi grinned and picked up the glass. She slid over enough bills to pay for the drink and a very generous tip, then she took a sip as she stepped away from the bar. “What gave it away?”
