Chapter Text
Camila grabbed the bowl of popcorn fresh from the microwave bag and put into a mixing bowl.
Ready for tonight’s feature presentation of Holes now showing in the living room.
movie night with her daughter, her Mija the light of her life has become Camila’s new favorite day of the week.
Luz had come back from camp over two week ago now and sometimes it felt like she was a whole new person, camp seems to have turned things around for her daughter in a big way and she couldn’t be happier for it.
One example was tonight, Friday newly dubbed movie night, Luz had since coming back from camp made an effort to watch more things with her mother,
While sitting down to watch something together was not uncommon before, her and Luz's tastes diverged with Luz more interested in anime and high fantasy then Camila’s more mundane cooking shows, dramas, nature documentaries
and the occasional sci-fi in secret the kind of thing that make good conversation topic with her coworkers at the vet clinic.
As she made her way to the living room Luz turned around and beamed at her excited for the nights fun to begin when she suddenly frowned Camila didn’t think anything was amiss until she realized that there was a small pinprick of light hovering in the air behind the couch Steadily growing brighter and larger Within seconds growing big enough to fit a person with both Camila and Luz backing up a frightened look growing just as steadily on Luz’s face.
Soon the glow began to subside as it became more apparent there was something inside, no someone.
as the light completely dissipated the person seemingly teleported into her living room stumbled a bit before righting herself.
Taking a minute for her brain to catch up with her apparent reality she looked over the person standing in the dim evening light of the living room, at someone who looked at lot like Herself standing there!
The person turned around to look at her and then at Luz looking even more like Camila with each passing second, she furrowed her brow and frowned a bit, inspecting some sort of old pocket watch she was holding she said
“so that’s what that does.”
