There was no need for AI Sada to protect herself from the cold. Her artificial body could withstand temperatures far beyond anything the ancient world could throw at her.
Snowdrifts that rose to her waist were another matter.
A deep cavern, in an area that would later be deep underwater, sounded like the perfect solution. And it permitted her to study creatures that rarely ventured to the surface.
Others had the same idea, sheltering from the harsh winter in the depths of the earth, and when she sat to rest, an unknown creature sought her warmth. Study could come later.
