Summary
Bucky never wanted a mate. After what Hydra had done to him, he wasn't worthy of one. Mostly he just wants to be left alone. But that doesn't mean he's going to let it slide when he sees someone in trouble. Which is how, despite his better judgement and his best intentions, he ends up with exactly what he swore to himself he'd never have - an omega mate.
Peter wasn't all that interested in bonding with anyone. It wasn't that he didn't want companionship, hell, he'd give his left leg for the type of love he's seen between mates, but he Values his independence. Besides, no one wants an omega like him. He says the wrong things. He's too smart for his own good. And, occasionally, his tendency to stand up for himself gets him into sticky situations. Which is how, amazingly, he finds himself accepting the offer of a mysterious alpha.
Now the two of them must figure out how to deal with a bond neither of them really wanted and navigate their own developing feelings. Which, given they both would rather do *anything* than talk about their emotions, might drive them both very well insane. And, to add to the stress, if they don't pull off the illusion of their bond, the consequences will be dire.
