Summary
Eventually, you manage to get him laying down and curl yourself around his back, mostly to pin him on his side just in case he vomits in the night. As if he wouldn’t be able to move you if he wanted. He smells of stale cigarettes and spilled beer, and you love him so much it hurts your chest when you think about it too hard.
“Kim?” He asks, some time later, and you jump a little. You’d thought he was asleep. “Did I ever tell you,” He’s slurring, halfway to unconsciousness. “Tell you, I’m glad I lost my memory.” You hum, trying to keep him talking. “I- I wasn’t a good person, was I? And- And I get a second chance. To do- to be better.”
