Chapter Text
Hope is lazing about in her room. Eyes puffed from her endless night of bitter weeping. Lost in the memories of her lost love Landon Kirby. It wasn't supposed to end like this. Her life ending up one giant nightmare. Didn't help that none at the school understood her pain over Landon. How could they? They hadn't lost their parents, or were casted off by family who swore to be there for her. Spite of what her brother promised at one point, it was all a lie. In the end, the only one to care is the head mistress of the Salvatore school, Caroline Forbes. A baby vampire compared to her extended family, but an old one compared to Hope. She had seen her crying her heart out by the lake or in the comfort or the library, till one day, it became too much and came bearing down with a crushing weight.
Enough was enough! She wanted her soulmate Landon back. She wanted the father she hardly knew back. Damn it all, she'd get them back even at the expanse of her own life. Which is how Caroline found her, three am, books scattered on a table, and the floor. Eyes red and tired from the lack of sleep. Concern dawning on Caroline's face when she caught sight of the young girl. Her heart breaking at the state she found her in. "Have you been here the entire night Hope?"
Her voice wavered, nearly regretting to ask when she got thrown a dead eye look. Pure annoyance at being disturbed. Then shame took over when Hope knew deep down she had no reason to be pissed at her. "Sorry. I was trying to find a way to get Landon and my dad back. I've found nothing but meaningless spells thus far." "What if I helped?" Caroline suggested, likely the prospect of getting Klaus back more than she should. Hope meerly shrugged her shoulder. The extra help couldn't hurt. It was five weeks later when they found the very thing that would help. All that was left is to summon Landon and explain it all. Calling him forth took another week. His not responding having not been from being busy, but that he hated to see the pain in Hope's eyes from not being able to love her as before. His humanity gone as the dust blown away by the cold wind. Though when they told him the good news, he couldn't possibly be more exstatic. Seven hours later, ingrediants collected, they met each other outside on the opposite side of the lake. Secluded by the Salvatore students and staff. Besides, they'd hate for anyone to be hurt accidently. Hope Mikaelson huffed, brushing her sweaty bangs out her face as she busied herself by painting a large symbol on the ground. While Caroline Forbes, set three little golden bowls filled to the brim with their blood, along with Landon Kirby's blood in a triangler fashion. Both the tribrid, and the elder vampire placed things where they needed to be while he leaned back against the nearest tree to the forest. His little make shift bar. Drink in hand. If not for his humanity being tuned down, he'd say truthfully he was exstatic about the plan his incredibly sexy and smart girlfriend thought up on her own before bringing Miss Forbes into the fold. The blonde was everything he heard of at the Salvatore school. So much so, that when they first officially met, she immediately started mothering Landon in her own, odd unique way. He liked her thus far, and wished like Hope they had met under better situations. So if this spell worked as she meant it to. Her father would be returned to them, and Landon would be returned to his Phoenix state. This only left separating him from Malivore, abd putting an end to the drama before it could start. This also meant stopping his half brother. Well, that among other things. Such as getting the hollow out of Hope's father. While they didn't know how for certain if it would work, they agreed Landon would take the hollow, from there, a quick snap of his neck should put an end to it. "Alright. Everything is ready. Just need to light the candles and we'll be under way." Caroline smiled, Landon grinned cockily though his smile didn't reach his eyes. This made Hope sigh sadly. Fingers crossed all around, she lit the candles, and soon the chanting started. At first, it seemed like nothing was happening, or maybe the spell had been a false lead. Till a rush of wind came flying in their direction. Hope's chanting grew louder, her hands, spread to before her, all of their slowly lifting into the air as she continued. Her eyes turning a bright shade of blue as she unleashed the full power of a fully turned tribrid. Ever since the death of her mother Hayley Marshall she had been holding back. Too afraid of more people she loved being killed. Thanks to her fear, she lost another. Landon. Never again. A white flash of light enveloped the group, a burning sensation torching them on the inside, and with that, they left being the world they knew in favor of one they used to. When things were easier.
