The three of them thought they were rebels, of the worst kind.
Free from the yoke of any order, that is parental figures holding them to their bedtime, their homework, or any other fancy tickling their minds.
No! Na-ha! Not this trio!! No Siree!!!
They were free spirits remaking their own galaxy together. The three for one and one for three mentality strong between them. The three of them inseparable to the core, never again yielding to any kind of worthless chores!
Only doing their own thing, those kinds which would make their little teenage hearts sing.
And so, playing hooky whenever they got to that mind space, only covered by one single saving grace.
Their friend Nyota Uhura. Her covering for the rebellious trio, most of the time. As it was her total and underlying duty, in her mind, her words exactly for the three. Weaving up plentiful of stories as to their absence. And she was good at it too.
But sometimes those tales would not hunt however. And so, the trio, was caught.
“Spock, Jim, Lennie.” They were standing there, like in front of a firing squad. At least it felt like that. “We as your parents are realty disappointed in you and your behaviour.…” The parents were berating the trio, loudly and proudly. “The future … space explorers… spoiling it all…” the tacking continued. “And for what?”
Alas Spock, Jim and Lennie aka Bones simply exchanged knowing glances, knowing there really would be no severe punishment this time either as this wasn’t their first rodeo in getting caught doing, well nothing really, playing video games mostly and skipping school.
But one thing was certain, their parents plan for them never coming to fruition.
That to the three of them certainly not growing up to become some boring astronauts in some kind of a Star Trek!
No Siree!!!
