Summary
One last kiss on the cheek and Oikawa was probably not gonna see him again.
Even though Iwaizumi stood in front of him, he felt like he was out of grasp for a long time now. Like he was worlds away and there was an invisible barrier that kept them from rekindling their togetherness again. Like he was grabbing something no longer there when it’s literally holding him, like he was real, and Iwaizumi wasn’t.
The week that Iwaizumi left he tried so hard to be as nonchalant as possible, and didn't want to be too needy to prove to Iwaizumi that he can handle himself just fine.
That was before the morning sicknesses hit him.
