Hello!

This fic began as a joke and then it took a life of its own. It is complete, and my plan is to hopefully update every day (I say hopefully because one never knows with work and life getting in the way). Because this fic is a collection of poems annotated by Garak, the format is a bit strange, so for the best experience I'd recommend reading it in a bigger screen than the phone, or maybe with the phone horizontally. In any case, you can read it on your phone vertically, but some notes might not be aligned to the text. Some poems are longer, some poems are shorter; I hope that by posting every day I can compensate for the shortness of some of them.

English is not my first language, but if you find something that reads weird I encourage you to think of it as a mishap of the universal translator, that hasn't quite captured the original Cardassian meaning. Any mistakes regarding Cardassian history are completely my own and I apologize in advance if you encounter any.

I want to thank my beta who has encouraged me to write and post this strange little fic. Hope you enjoy it!

P.S. This first chapter is "empty" on purpose as it's the title page, as if we were Bashir first opening the book that Garak lent him. I'm posting the second chapter as well, not to leave you hanging ;)
