Summary
If there's one thing all of his years on earth have taught Dean Winchester, it's that hunters are never allowed to have a good, sure thing, despite how much they may deserve it. Now Dean not only has Sam in his life to worry about, but a dorky angel in a trench coat that he's afraid of losing too.
If there's one thing the last couple of years on earth have taught Castiel, it's how to feel, an exhilarating and equally terrifying sensation that he never thought an angel would be capable of. These emotions only grew stronger during his stint as a human, and now that Cas is an angel again, hes trying to learn to comprehend and control how he feels in multiple aspects of his life.
If there's one thing that Dean and Cas have in common, it's not knowing how to deal with their feelings, or pursue a good thing when it's right in front of them.
This fic is entirely canon compliant up to episode 10x22, "The Prisoner" of Supernatural. It takes place starting after that episode.
