Johnny was living his bachelor’s life just fine if you ask him. As a freelance photographer and a co-owner of a cafe, he has his fiances secured and thus have some leisure days.
Including today.
“Please. Just attend for me just this once!” Donghyuck whined, like a child, asking his brother to take his place for a fansign.
“That’s not my cup of tea.” Johnny replied, eye brow raised at his younger brother.
“I know you don’t drink tea but this means a lot to me. I spent so much for this slot!” Donghyuck begged and it irked Johnny that his brother would spend so much for a what again? A fansign?
“How much?” Johnny asked and Donghyuck took a step back.
“Just go please.” Donghyuck whined some more.
“I gave him some money for it.” Doyoung, Johnny’s good friend and co-owner, said as he sat next to Johnny.
“You enabled my brother?” Johnny was perplexed.
“Yeah, I was going to ask for a sign from Kun, so I chipped in.” Doyoung answered making Johnny raise a brow at him.
“I did too, Gotta have a sign from Sicheng.” Taeil joined them, another co-owner of the group.
“you what hyung?” Johnny was beyond perplex.
“It’s not the first time he done it, we all had our fair share of albums. Gotta support Ten and his cats.” Taeyong replied from where he was baking for the cafe’s pastry.
“all of you?” Johnny asked as he looked around the cafe, as it prepared to open up for the day.
“Yeah, go get me Xiaojun’s autograph.” Yuta chipped in, wiping down a table from the corner.
“Jaehyun?” Johnny asked the younger who sheepishly nodded.
“Hey, I bias Sicheng, I know Taeil hyung don’t kill me.” Jaehyun ducked behind Doyoung.
“Jungwoo?” Johnny called out to the other friend who is mopping the floor.
“Yeah, Hendery please.” The younger said and then glared at Donghyuck just as Mark, his brother’s boyfriend, came to fetch him.
“Can you hand this to Xiaojun Johnny hyung? I really like his voice.” Mark handed a Dino plushy and Johnny felt a headache coming.
“Just don’t forget to take pictures of Yangyang! Tell him suhnflower misses him.” Donghyuck said as he placed the email confirmation on Johnny’s palms and handed over his DSLR before going with mark for him internship.
“What is a yangyang?” Johnny blurted out because what the hell was he going to do?
Well a short drive to the venue and screaming fans later, Johnny found himself inside the auditorium waiting for WeishenV for their fansign session. Johnny had to learn who is who because he was sure he knows exactly 1 thing about the group, their group name.
“Are you new here?” Johnny’s seatmate asked and Johnny nodded.
“i’m here for my brother, he has things to do.” Johnny replied and the girl nodded.
“WeishenV has a good amount of male fans to be honest so I am not surprised. So who is your brother’s bias?” She asked and Johnny rubbed his nape.
“Yangyang?” Johnny replied and the girl’s eyes sparkle at the mention of the name.
“He’s my bias.” She eagerly showed her image picket.
“Oh, I better take photos of him, my brother demanded that I do.” Johnny replied and thanked her.
“So you’re not a fan?” She asked and Johnny nodded.
“I prefer R&B.” Johnny replied and she nodded.
“You have the same music preference as their leader, Kun oppa.” She pointed to the poster, the blonde male at the middle. “He changed his color to black blue.” She explained and Johnny nodded.
The members entered the venue and there were loud cheers. Johnny started taking pictures of Yangyang and a few of the members because he doesn’t know maybe his other friends may want photos of the other members. WeishenV talked and did a bit of performance before they begin the line up. Johnny was one of the few ones at the back row so he wasn’t in a hurry. He chat with the girl next to her a few more times and asked for her account so he could tell his brother to give her some HQ photos as thank you for helping him with the members.
As Johnny lined up for his slot, he clutch the album which was marked with post its with name of his friends and some questions. First one is Yangyang and the idol was surprised to see a new face.
“hello!” Yangyang greeted happily.
“Hello.” Johnny smiled.
“You’re new. Are you my hyung?” Ynagyang asked and Johnny remembered that Donghyuck said that yangyang was the same age as him.
“yeah, I actually came in place of my brother, he was busy. He said to tell you that suhnflower misses you.” Johnny shared and with the mention of the codename, yangyang beemed a toothy smile.
“oh, you’re suhnflower’s brother? That’s nice.” Yangyang said and looked at the post it on the page that Donghyuck wanted signed. “He’s quite the character so we remember him.” Yangyang informed Johnny. ‘Do tell him good luck on his internship.” Yangyang said as he returned the album to Johnny and bid his goodbye.
Next was Ten and his seatmate had told him how Ten flirts some times and true to her words, he gave Johnny a wink.
“This is for suhnflower.” Johnny said and Ten grinned.
“I remembered him a little shorter.” Ten replied.
“I’m his brother.” Johnny replied nervously.
“Oh he’s busy?” Ten asked as he flipped the page for him to sign.
“Internship” Johnny replied and Ten nodded.
“This is for TY I pressume?” Ten asked and Johnny nodded.
“Yeah, I think you’re familiar with how it works?” Johnny asked and Ten nodded.
“we all do. suhnflower is a familiar face with us and his hyungs. He didn’t mention you though.” Ten said and Johnny sighed.
‘not to offend, but I really am not into the idol thing.” Johnny confessed.
“Perfectly fine. But glad that you still came for your brother.” Ten beamed a smile as he handed the album back.
Next is Xiaojun who was smilign wide at him.
‘Oh for Yuta hyung, you’re not suhnflower though.” Xiaojun remarked.
“his my brother.” Johnny replied and Xiaojun nodded. ‘oh, Mark wanted you to have this.” Johnny gave him the bag with the plushy and it made Xiaojun smile wide as he took the plushy.
“it’s cute, thank Mark for me hyung.” Xiaojun said and Johnny nodded. He waited a bit for Xiaojun to finish answering whatever Yuta has asked.
Next was Sicheng and the lad was smiling shyly at him.
“Please sign here.” Johnny handed the album and Sicheng looked at the names.
“Jaehyun and Taeil? Are you suhnflower?” the idol asked and Johnny shook his head.
“suhnflower is my brother.” He answered and Sicheng nodded.
“That makes sense. suhnflower would usually be bouncing with energy when he meets me.” Sicheng explained and signed two pages with his photo.
“aren’t you supposed to just sign one?” Johnny inquired and it made Sicheng chuckle.
“Yeah, but suhnflower is special so I do give separate signs for Taeil hyung and Jaehyun.” Sicheng explained and it made Johnny wonder how deep is Donghyuck’s connection with them.
Hendery was up next and Johnny had liked his energy earlier to be honest, such a fun kid.
“oh Jungwoo hyung huh?” Hendery asked and Johnny nodded.
“I’m suhnflower’s brother.” Johnny explained and Hendery nodded with a grin.
“Yeah, you’re too tall for suhnflower.” Hendery remarked. “What’s your secret hyung? I want to grow tall too!” Hendery whined and Johnny found that adorable.
“genes?” Johnny replied and it made Hendery laugh out loud.
“I like that. Oh my. You are as hilarious as suhnflower.” Hendery replied as he shook his head and signed the page.
Johnny then moved to the last person and boy did Johnny had a serious short circuit when the leader of the group, wearing a cute specs and that gorgeous blue black hair, smiled at him, dimples out and eyes crinkling into a cute line.
“Oh hello, you are new.” Kun, Johnny remembered his name.
“Ah yes, suhnflower couldn’t make it.” Johnny replied.
“oh, that’s a pity.” Kun said as he pouted, oh my goodness Johnny found that cute. “so I guess I will be signing for Doyoung.” Kun mused as he searched for his page.
“yeah, he liked that photo specifically.” Johnny replied as Kun found his page.
“Typical Doyoung.” Kun chuckled.
“So I assume that you are not our fan.” Kun engaged Johnny into a conversation.
“Yeah, I’m more on R&B kind of guy.” johnny shared. “sorry, that sounded insensitive.” Johnny quickly added making Kun chuckle, and oh my good lord, Johnny liked the sound of that laugh.
“It’s perfectly alright, I like R&B too.” Kun shared. “but If I may suggest, give Rain Day a try if you like R&B.” Kun said, smile blinding.
“I’ll look into it and give it a listen.” Johnny replied and Kun smiled wider.
“Thank you. If you can, share your feedback.” Kun said as he handed the album back. “Have a safe travel home.” He added and waved at Johnny who got off the stage and back to his seat.

It was a couple of months that passed and Donghyuck was finally free after the internship. He just needed it to graduate but really, he’ll just join his brother in the business rather enslave himself in corporate.
He was checking his bag for his camera and some markers when Johnny knocked on his door.
“Let’s go.” Johnny merely said and it confused the younger.
“I have a fansign to attend to.” Donghyuck informed his brother.
“yeah, I know. I am also going.” Johnny replied and Donghyuck’s brows furrowed.
”You? How?” Donghyuck asked, words not coming to him.
“I bought an album.” Johnny replied.
“You’re not a fan?!” Donghyuck reasoned out.
“I am now.” Johnny replied as he walked towards the front door.
“How many albums did you buy?” Donghyuck asked.
“2 versions. I am not into consumerism.” Johnny replied making Donghyuck shriek.
“2 albums and you got a slot? Unfair!” Donghyuck whined, he had to buy several dozens to get a slot.
“I got lucky.” Johnny shrugged his shoulders making his brother groan at the unfairness of everything.

The fansign for the new album was on its way and WeishenV were all excited talking about it and the upcoming Concert that was to be held right after the promotions. Johnny was also excited for it, he’ll be wanting to have tickets for the show because right after the first fansign, he had searched Rain Day, and Oh boy, that opened a rabbithole for him.
“so, who is your bias hyung?” Donghyuck asked but Johnny did not answer, instead, he raised his camera to take photos of the members. ‘You don’t want to be a fansite?” Donghyuck asked and Johnny shook his head.
“I don’t have the time. I just got lucky this time.” Johnny replied.
When it was their time to meet the members, they were all surprised to see him again, having met suhnflower early in the hour. They greeted him happily and had thanked him for giving them and their music a chance. But when Johnny reached the end of the table and Kun greeted him with a familiar smile, Johnny may have lost his last remaining brain cell.
“So, you came back.” Kun started and Johnny could only nod. “Did you listen to Rain Day?” Kun inquired and Johnny nodded once more. “How is it?” Kun asked, trying his best to make Johnny talk.
“Great actually. Made me a fan.” Johnny confessed and Kun’s smile widened.
“Really? Thank you for liking it. It means a lot.” Kun said as he then looked at the page Johnny had chosen. “Oh this is more of the artistic photos, not everyone chooses this.” Kun remarked and Johnny couldn’t hold it and geeked out.
“I like the composition, the way you posed and played with the light and shadows. There is some air of mystery but still focuses on all the beautiful features that you have.” Johnny then bit his tongue as he realized that he spoke too much.
“Oh that is interesting. Do you do photography?” Kun asked and Johnny nodded. “Knew it.” Kun laughed melodiously. “So what do you want to ask me? Dedication?” Kun asked.
“Oh song recommendation?” Johnny asked, not quite sure what he wanted from Kun to be honest.
“Oh okay, maybe one of our older songs. Hmmm.” Kun contemplated, pouting as he thinks; Johnny found it so cute. “Do I have a name to write?” Kun asked and Johnny panicked, like was he going to give his real name?
“Uh, suhnny?” Johnny replied.
“is that a question?” Kun chuckled.
“I am suhnflower’s brother.” Johnny answered making Kun nod.
“Quite an interesting bunch you are.” Kun said and handed back the album. “See you at the concert Suhnny-nim.” Kun waved and Johnny could only nod and bow.
“So what did you and Kun hyung talk about, it seemed serious.” Donghyuck said as he strapped himself in the car.
“about songs.” Johnny replied.
“Did he ask for your name?” Donghyuck asked and Johnny nodded. “What did you give him?” Donghyuck prodded.
“You’re gonna laugh at me.” Johnny groaned.
“Try me.” Donghyuck challenged his brother.
“Suhnny” Johnny blurted out and it made Donghyuck laugh out loud.
“hyung? What?” Donghyuck was clutching his stomach as he laughed.
“To be fair, that’s my surname and first name combined. I panicked okay, like Kun was asking for my name, I wasn’t ready for it.” Johnny argued and Donghyuck nodded as he wiped the tears from his eyes.
“oh right, smart one.” Donghyuck remarked. “are you going to post Kun hyung’s photo online?” Donghyuck asked and Johnny shook his head. ‘Come on, those are amazing photos and Kun hyung needs more fansites.” Donghyuck urged him.
“I am not a fansite, that’s too much work.” Johnny said in finality.
But in reality, he did post the photos under Suhnny Side Up and he clarified that he is just a fan account that will post when he is able. The photos he posted garnered so much attention for such quality and praises for how good the photos were. He clarified that he is an ordinary fan and he will only attend those events if he is available.
The next event that Johnny attended was WeishenV’s concert and oh boy did he have the whole cafe to help him and Donghyuck secure tickets to the event. Doyoung laughed at his desperation but understood, of course he’ll support Johnny cause he got beautiful pictures of Kun courtesy of his friend.
Johnny learned about freebie culture when Donghyuck was sorting through his gallery to find pictures of Yangyang to use as photocards. Johnny thought of that as well and with his limited photos, he was able to make some photocards for his freebies. He doesn’t have funds for this since he is just a casual fan but for his first time, he thinks that it is okay to just give out something to his co nuoyis.
The place was bustling with energy and Johnny was surely not in his comfort zone. But trust his brother to navigate the complicated culture of concerts and fanhubs so he ended up exchanging freebies and meeting a lot of Nuoyis who were thrilled to receive photocards from Suhnny-nim.
The concert itself was.. to put it simply, was not what Johnny expected. He knew that Weishenv has some sexy songs, but he did not expect the spicy dance that accompanied it. And why is there a cage? Did he get into a strip club or something? Why are Tn and Xiaojun stripping?! Johnny was going to get a heart attack because what the actual fuck is Kun doing inside that cage and why I johnny not the pole?
Speechless. Just speechless.
“what did we watch?” Johnny whispered to his brother who was gaping just like him.
“I have no idea.” Donghyuck replied.

When Johnny posted the previews on his account, the timeline went wild because of course not only did Johnny had taken the most stunning photos of Kun, but Kun looked like he was directly looking at Johnny’s camera.
For the record, Johnny wasn’t in the first row so he was quick to dispell the comments that Kun was directly looking at him. He was wearing an orange bandana though so there was a possibility that Kun had spotted at times, but Kun looking at him? Highly unlikely.
