Summary
In a land where the goddess of love and pleasure reigns, Auva, a temple courtesan, has trained her entire life to satisfy everyone except herself. Signe, a scholar from the North, only wants to chart the stars--and observe a rare astronomical event from the best vantage point.
Unfortunately, only fated lovers touched by the goddess Herself are invited to attend the viewing ceremony. But who wants to wait on the goddess? Auva proposes a plan: be seen together in a whirlwind romance, get the invitation, then go their separate ways. Signe gets her data; Auva gets her clean break.
