Back to School Season

Summary:

A Lalaloopsified parody of the 2007 Kellogg's/Nickelodeon Back to School promotional video. (#9LFW15)

Notes:

Here's my second Lalaloopsy episode based off a SpongeBob short, the first one being The Endless Summer last season. I wanted to do a parody of this little promotional short because I've seen work training video parodies before, especially Krusty Krab Training Video. Here's my own take on a promotional training video.

Enjoy this little Lalaloopsy short I put together!

Work Text:

The Lalaloopsy logo was shown on the screen as a few clips from the 2013 Nick Jr. series preceding this very Lalaloopsy series were shown. "The number one kids' TV show for 11 straight years!" Dot Starlight told the viewers, not knowing that this was an unverified statistic, especially since Lalaloopsy was off Nick Jr. since 2016. "Number one entertainment brand for kids!" Pillow Featherbed added. "Number one in licensed product sales!" Patch Treasurechest said. The amount of unverified statistics these Lalaloopsies were saying were making it clear: this was gonna be a parody of a promotional video, just like how the Krusty Krab training video was a parody of restaurant training videos. It was revealed Mango Tiki Wiki was watching the scene you just saw with Patch Treasurechest on her TV. "The number one website for kids!" Mango told the viewers as she was watching TV. Spot Splatter Splash was shown on a stage, holding a microphone. "And the most watched kids' show in history, starring, da da da da, us Lalaloopsies!" Spot told the viewers as the Lalaloopsy logo was shown again.

"Back to School Season" text showed on the screen. "Back to school? Noooo!" Spot said as she was running closer to the screen to transition to the next scene. "Back to school is exciting, Spot. You learn new things, meet new people, and get cool new stuff. We're gonna take back to school and make it fun by teaming up with Lalaloopsy and all these snack companies out there for a wild back to school 2024 promotion!" Bea Spells-a-Lot explained to Spot. A green text balloon saying "Expected Back to School Retail Sales $13 Billion" was shown on the bottom of the screen as Bea was finishing her sentence.

"How can you make going back to school fun?" Spot asked as she was sitting on a chair in a library. "Let's look at the program!" Bea answered as a cereal box was shown with a Lalaloopsy pencil topper and a text balloon saying "Insert Offer" pointing to it. "Look at all these cool Lalaloopsy pencil toppers! They're us, and they've all got color changing hair!" Bea said as the different Lalaloopsy pencil toppers were shown with colorful hair protruding out of each one. Spot showed her friend Mittens Fluff 'N' Stuff the pencil topper version of her. "Look, Mittens, your hair is changing color!" Spot told Mittens as she showed the hair on the Mittens pencil topper change from blue to purple. "Awesome! Now my hair's the same color as Peanut Big Top's!" Mittens said at how the color changed.

"And there's a Lalaloopsy challenge, a crazy event! That rewards kids for completing ten fun activities in one week! Complete the challenge and get a free Lalaloopsy 2013 throwback DVD!" Bea said as she showed off another cereal box to the viewers, this time with promotional artwork for a free Lalaloopsy DVD, with a text balloon saying "Non-Insert Offer" pointing to it. "Can we have a contest to see who can do this the longest?" Mittens asked as she flapped her lips for a while. Peanut Big Top did some armpit farts for a bit. "Mittens! Look who gets to drive the school bus display! Me!" Spot told Mittens as she showed her the school bus display of all the Lalaloopsy promotional snacks. "No way!" Mittens said. "This snack school bus is gonna make going to school a blast!" Spot said as she "drove" the school bus snack display and it ended up hitting Mittens' house, but luckily her house was unharmed because the display was made of cardboard. "Wow, nice run!" Mittens said as she woke up from her nap after hearing the carboard bus display "crash" into Mittens' home.

"This is all too great! Let's kick it off by sliming someone!" Spot told the viewers. "I love slime too! But all these people might not know what slime is," Mittens said. "Good point, Mittens. Let's show 'em," Spot said as clips of previous Kids' Choice Awards shows were shown where various celebrities and others were getting slimed, along with a few slimings from previous seasons of this very Lalaloopsy series. "That's slime, all right! Now, how about we slime someone you all know and love?" Spot asked the viewers who know have a good knowledge of what slime is.

"Ready, Liezel?" Spot asked Liezel, who was wearing a purple bikini and standing outside in a green field. "Ready, Spot," Liezel answered. A bunch of shiny confetti came raining down on Liezel as Liezel closed her eyes to make sure none of it gets in her eyes. Liezel giggled at the tickly sensation of confetti falling on her. "Ha ha ha ha! You didn't think Liezel would really let us slime her, do you?" Spot asked the viewers. As soon as Spot asked that, a cascade of green slime started falling down on Liezel and splattered everywhere, with plenty of green slime dripping all over Liezel and her purple bikini. Liezel got some slime off her face and rubbed it on her stomach. Another cascade of green slime fell on Liezel, with most of that one getting on her back.

After Liezel's sliming, we then cut to seeing various cereal and snack food products showing Lalaloopsy promotional branding. Some of the products in question being Apple Jacks and Frosted Flakes cereal, Strawberry Pop-Tarts, various fruit snacks, and the school bus displays showing Lalaloopsy Back to School branding, with all the different sncak items being on display. Along with Bea carrying a flag that says "Lalaloopsy Rules School" with Spot, Mittens, Crumbs, and Jewel nearby her. Apple Jacks boxes showed the Loop It Up A Notch challenge where there's several tasks the kids can do for the challenge, with the prize being a free Lalaloopsy phone cover and a $50 mail in rebate. And finally, a Lalaloopsy Fuel for School brochure book was shown to end off this back to school promotional video parody episode of Lalaloopsy.
