Chapter Text
Time had been having hard time getting any of sleep for the past few nights. The Inn they were staying was too dark. The boys had picked their rooms and roommates before he had even gotten a word out. That had left him, like so many times before, to sleep alone. Usually he didn’t mind about that but now… Now he really could’ve used the company. Yet, everyone was already asleep and the beds, besides his, were too small for three persons. Not to mention he was the biggest of them so getting squeezed into there wasn’t going to work easily. He just didn’t have the heart to go and wake any of them up. And even less he felt like wanting to give out that he was craving for company.
The Old Man didn’t really think as he already left the Inn to do a slight walk. The crisp night air of the winter could, hopefully, help his mind to calm down. He glanced up into the dark night sky. Usually he enjoyed it if the moon wasn’t seen but not this time. This time he would’ve loved to see the white sphere as it could’ve given some light.
Either way, the one eyed male couldn’t do a damn about how the nature handled its things. If the moon wasn’t there for this night, then it just wasn’t there and that’s it. He groaned as he realized how messed up his own mind was at the moment. He needed to get it calmed down.
Time smiled a bit when he saw the forest. Sure, it was waiting for the spring to return but right now it looked beautiful. The white snow glistered in the ground as did the frost that covered so amazingly the trees and bushes. He took out his Pictobox and took few pictures. It wasn’t often he wandered through a forest in wintertime in middle of a night.
The sound of the crunching snow was very calming and the chilly air gave the Chain’s leader a chance to really just relax. He was walking calmly without really knowing where he was going. Things just were calm and beautiful at the moment and he simply wanted to enjoy of it for the time being. Besides, as long as it didn’t start to snow, he could easily backtrack his road back to the Inn. Not to mention that he always had quite a strong feeling of where the Chain was so that could lead him too without trouble.
The town the nine Heroes had come to was right at the base of a tall and snowy mountain. It blocked one road while the rest was covered by a forest. It seemed nice and cozy place. There were caves through the mountain and even a path to the top of the rocky formation.
Yet, as long as the monsters weren’t residing at the mountain, Time had no intentions of going to there. The Snowhead Mountain back at Termina had been enough for him. They would round the mountain once they’d leave the town. Or at least that had been his plan.
The one eyed male snapped his gaze towards fast approaching sound. Someone was running and that never meant anything good. It either was danger for him or the one running. He slightly moved into his battle stance while catching the notion of the runner. It wasn’t any of his boys.
“Hero!” The man shouted in near fright while approaching the Chain’s leader. “Oh, thank Goddesses I saw right!” He guy sighed in full relief before already bending down while almost gasping for air. “Help me! You gotta help me, please!” The guy raised his frightened and pleading gaze up into Time. “Monsters kidnapped my family! They dragged them up to the mountain!” The man almost wailed while starting to cry. “I tried to help but…!”
Inwardly Time cursed at the place he needed to head to. He glanced towards the mountain while already trying to figure out the situation. “Please! You need to help me!” The guy begged in desperation. The one eyed male nodded firmly.
“Wake my team up from the Inn. Tell them that I’ve gone ahead to try and catch the beasts to slow them down. Tell them to come as fast as possible.” The Chain leader commanded firmly and the guy nodded in understanding. After that they separated ways as Time headed towards the mountain and the path up to its peak.
