Summary
After a lazy hour listening to the muttering of her friends, Lucy dozed to the feeling of the warm sunlight casting on the room and the lull of safety, of Portland Row. She woke again to the feeling of a repetitive poke in the arm, trying to shake it off.
“Hey? Luce, come on. You’re gonna hurt your back, sleeping like this.” She cracked one eye open, took a deep inhale, and went to stand.
Her vision blacked out and the tips of her body felt like static fuzz. Her legs bent and wobbled as small spots came back and she could see–feel arms around her torso. She leaned into the warm body until she felt stable, pulling back and looking up. Lockwoods eyes were already on her face, scanning her for any signs that she’d fall again. Her fingers dug into his lapel, breathing fast and sharp.
“I’m okay. I’m okay. Jus’ stood up too fast.” Her tongue felt like a piece of cotton sticking inside her mouth.

A story in which Lucy passes out in her room with the Skull present, it forces her awake and talks her through calling Lockwood off his case to come help her. Much worry and softness ensues. Lucy ends passing out again every so often in the coming weeks every time she's safe, relaxed, and at home. The Skull is woeful and tells her that going through the Other London had consequences. Adrenaline and endorphins and exhaustion in high doses are now her body's default status for alive, and low concentrations of any make her body think it's dead. The crew worry about Lucy a lot and try to get her to relax as a more default state. She ends up having out of body experiences instead, guided back by the quietly panicked ghost Skull.
