Chapter 1: Part 1: Field Trip

Summary:

A field trip in 1985 to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza goes terribly wrong for a team of six kids...

Chapter Text

June 26th, 1985

Six special education students were anxiously awaiting their arrival to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. They were all apart of Hurricane High School's Special Olympics team, which had recently won a basketball championship.

Gabriel, a young Autistic boy, suggested the trip, due to having an intense interest in the resturaunt. Also on the small bus was Brayden and Jonathan, his lifelong best friends. There was also a small girl named Susie who made bird-like noises and absolutely loved the plush versions of the characters.

Perhaps the most excited was Carter. He was sensitive to loud sounds, so the pizzeria was probably the last option he would choose. He also got quite excited if he wanted to; liking to snap his fingers for a quick burst of excitement or relief from constant loud sounds, as well as clapping his hands if he felt the need to hold in some of his excitement or if the noise level was just low enough to not cause a meltdown. He also liked to make sounds similar to Susie in an attempt to cancel out loud noises if he was with other Autistic kids.

And then there was Cassidy...

Cassidy had extreme anger problems. The blond boy was in and out of detention for things such as talking back to teachers, skipping school, and teasing other Autistic kids. The only reason he was on the team was because the principal forced him to join.

As the bus doors opened up, the SpEd kids ran towards the resturaunt. For Carter, running for the track team was an asset.

"Rrrreeeeeee! *snap* *loud clap*" The special boy squealed loudly as he entered the pizzeria.

"Chill out 'retarder Carter'!" Cassidy taunted.

"CASSIDY! Do not make me put you back on that bus. Apologize to him NOW!" His teacher yelled.

The blond boy's faced turned red, shrinking into himself as the teacher yelled. He swiftly apoligized to Carter, but was silently judging the boy.

Ever since the school had found a weapon on him, Cassidy had been assigned a dedicated teacher at all times for security purposes.

Inside the Pizzeria: Gabriel

Gabriel was playing one of the Sonic the Hedgehog arcade machines. He had recently found a glitch in the game, which allowed him to bypass entire levels. All of a sudden, the game crashed, revealing a blue screen requesting a technician's assistance. Gabriel looked around for any employees wearing purple vests. He soon found William, who was the manager.

"What's going on kid?" William was a tall man with blond hair. Gabriel theorized that he was Cassidy's dad.

"The game broke, it said I needed to get a manager or technician."

"Which game was it?"

"Sonic 2"

"That one was on it's last leg, we got a new one in the back. Follow me!" William beckoned.

"YAY, more Sonic!"

Jonathan

Even though he knew he was different, Jonathan was embarrassed to talk with the others, let alone be on the same team as them. To compensate, he acted tough and defiant, but was a really sweet kid on the inside. He let his tough kid persona out this one time, and thought of a devious idea: rob the place of all their Faz-Coins.

He went to the ticket machine, suprised to see the maintaince slot slightly open.

"Sweet!" He whisper-yelled to himself, grabbing a fistful of tickets.

"HEY!" Jonathan turned around to see a employee sprinting full speed at him.

"You need to go to the manager's office immediately!"

"Fine" Jonathan sighed as he gave the tickets back to the employee.

He then quickly made his way to the manager's office, noting a sign that read, 'Stealing can leave a record for life. It's not worth the risk'

Waiting in the manager's office, Jonathan started to play with the strings on his pants. Soon, the manager showed up, but shockingly, didn't get mad at him.

"Hey, tell you what. We have some spare promotional tickets in the back, you can come with me, and I can give you some!"

Susie

For Susie, the only girl on the team, Freddy's was somewhat exhausting. With all the noise and strong smell of the food, she simply sat at one of the tables drawing in her sketchbook. She was very talented at drawing, in fact, one of her drawings was displayed in Hurricane High's office.

Soon, Susie started getting hungry. Craving some cupcakes, she soon got a hold of an employee.

"Sir, where do you keep the cupcakes?"

"We keep them over by the bathrooms. You can pick out your favorite one if you follow me!"

Carter

The whole arcade was simply too loud for Carter. He felt ready to plummet into a meltdown. No amount of snapping or clapping was working. He was also getting looks from other kids and employees, due to loudly making Autistic sounds. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw an employee come up to him with Foxy-themed headphones.

"THANK YOU!" He yelled over all the noise.

"No way! Are you from Boston?" The employee asked.

"Uhh- *snap* No?"

"I thought you were 'cause of your accent. Anyway if you need to, there is a safe, calming room over by the bathrooms."

"OK!" The boy began to loudly clap his hands in relief.

Carter quickly felt more calm, as he entered the safe room. He saw Gabriel at the entrance to the room with the manager.

"Was the arcade a bit too loud?" Gabriel whispered into Carter's ear.

"Yeah, it felt like I was about to explode."

Cassidy

Cassidy had a lot of anger problems, and often made threats of violence towards other students. Ironically, he was the son of Hurricane's police chief, and this fact practically awarded him a get-out-of-jail-free card.

Secretly, William hated Cassidy and his family for slapping him with a fine over a springlock accident at a Fredbear's he previously managed. As he came into work for the morning, the manager thought of a diabolical plan: Kill a group of kids, including Cassidy, which would cause Chief Brooks to retire out of grief.

Right now, the blond boy didn't want to be at Freddy's, he wanted to hang out with his friends at school! He was tempted to break one of the arcade machines or tease Carter again, but instead chose to let himself calm down. Maybe Freddy's wasn't as bad as he thought!

After listening to the robots lip-sync to Freddy Fazbear's Radio, Cassidy got up to go to the bathroom. In the hallway, he saw a calming room, excited to finally be able to chill out, he found that the door was locked.

"Coming!" A man called out from inside.

A few minutes later, the door opened and a man with silver eyes stepped out.

"Ahh, Cassidy. I've been expecting you. Come on in!" Glancing at the man's name tag, it revealed that he was a manager, and that his name was William Afton.

Stepping into the room, Cassidy realized that this was some type of trap. Looking at the back wall, he could just about make out the dead bodies of his teammates. That scene would stick with him for the rest of his existence.

"W- W- What have you d- done to the- the- them?!!"

"I have made them one with the animatronics!" William grabbed a knife from a shelf. "Now, join your friends, and tell your dumb dad your last words!"

The blond boy started screaming, as the serial killer advanced with his large knife. Ultimately, he was no match for William, being stabbed once in the arm, causing him to stumble on the ground.

Cassidy's vision became blurry as he was placed in Golden Freddy. Then, with a swift kick to the suit delivered by William, several snapping sounds were heard, followed by immeasurable pain all over his body. After a few hours, the blond boy drowned in his own blood, officially joining his friends in the afterlife.
