Work Text:

Operation Wish is now online.

The go signal was sent and each pair were dispatched to the warehouse where the cartel has been keeping their victims of human trafficking and prostitution.

“Don’t lag behind.” Agent Hot guy sneered and his partner, Agent Nuo, rolled his eyes as he drew his gun and walked towards the coordinates that were sent to them.

“Two kids.” Agent Prince spoke in their ear pieces.

“great, we grab a piece each.” Agent Hot guy told his partner.

“Why am I even paired up with this buffoon?” Agent Nuo asked making Agent Prince laugh.

“You drew the name tags gege, you can blame yourself.” Apent prince responded and it made Agent Nuo fume, of course, why did their leader think drawing name tags as a good way to pair up the agents for a mission?

“You’re near, heat signature has 2 adults.” Agent Prince informed them.

“Don’t be impulsive.” Agent Nuo said and not it is Agent Hot Guy’s turn to roll his eyes.

They count to three and when it reached 3, Agent Hot Guy kicked the door down and started aiming at the guy. Agent Nuo followed suit and the take down was quick and effortless. They scanned the room and heard whimpers leading them to a closet. They slowly walked towards and carefully pointed their guns towards the door before they open it. No criminals were found but instead two quivering toddlers and a crying baby met them.

“hey, it’s okay. We are here to help.” Agent Nuo lowered his gun and knelt in front of the kids. The toddlers ran to him and hugged him, crying on his arms as they were clearly afraid. Agent Nuo looked at their faces, some bruises and scratches were found. “Can I know your names?” Agent Nuo asked and bare a whisper he heard the name Riku and Jungmin.

“Is there a baby carrier?” Agent Hot Guy asked and Agent Nuo searched and found a carrier. “You take the baby, I’ll take the kids.” Agent Hot Guy said making Agent Nuo raise a brow. “look, your aim is precise, it would be easier if you have the baby with you, you can aim and shoot better.” Agent Nuo explained.

“and how would you carry them?” Agent Nuo asked.

“One on my back, the other at front. I can carry both.” Agent Hot Guy replied.

“Carry them both on each of your side, let me just cover for you.” Agent Nuo suggested and his partner sighed and nodded. “Okay, help me put the baby on me.” Agent Nuo said and Agent Hot guy nodded and took the baby.

“Saku.” The toddler pointed to the baby and Agent Nuo nodded.

“Saku will be safe, don’t worry.” Agent Nuo reassured him as Agent Hot Guy secured the baby on his partner’s chest. “Hey Saku, you are safe.” Agent Nuo cooed at the baby and hummed a tune, calming the boy and making him fall asleep.

“Okay buddy, I will carry each of you, hold on.” Agent Hot guy said but Agent Nuo stopped him and took off his beanie.

“To cover their eyes.” He informed his partner who also took off his beanie so both twins can be covered.

The kids looked at them with tearful beady eyes but smiled as they felt the warmth and comfort of the beanies on their head.  “Great, now hold on tight.” Agent Hot guy said and each boy held on his neck and gasped as they were lifted up into the air.

“Ready?” Agent Nuo asked as he took his gun and walked towards the door.

“always.” Agent Hot Guy replied.

“Prince, take off.” Agent Nuo said and the tech gave a roger and led t hem towards the easiest and fastest way out of the building and towards the awaiting ambulance for the victims.

---

“No casualties?” Agent Tyong, their leader, asked and the count resulted to 20 agents safe and sound.

“We can’t keep the boys calm.” One of the paramedics told Tyong and the senior agents looked at each other and walked towards the ambulances where the youngest of the victims were being treated. Once the kids saw their saviours, they ran towards them and yielded in the security they exude.

Saku, he is crying.” Riku, cried out as he clung on Kun’s neck. It was Japanese and Kun barely knew anything of the language.

“He said Saku is crying.” Thank goodness they have a Japanese agent, Yuta, who translated for Kun; the agent also carrying a toddler and calming him down.

“give him to me.” Johnny said and handed the toddler to Johnny who already has Jungmin on his lap. Kun walked to the ambulance and took the crying baby from the medic and when the baby felt Kun’s touch and was laying on Kun’s chest, the baby calmed down, finally settling as he felt safe once more.

“We may have a problem.” Taeyong scratch his temple. “I need to talk to CPS.” Taeyong excused himself.

And that is how the agents found themselvs in the conference room, with a kid sitting on their lap and trying to decipher what Taeyong just explained.

“Foster care?” Kun asked and Taeyong nodded.

“Yes, foster care.” Taeyong replied.

“us?” Kun asked again and their leader nodded.

“us.” Taeyong said in affirmative.

“What do you mean I get to take care of three kids? I’m single.” Kun blurted out causing Sakuya to cry out as he was surpised with the sudden loud voice of his caregiver. Kun swayed the baby and hummed to calm him down.

“You are going to take care of the kids with Johnny.” Taeyong explained.

“What? Why?” It was Johnny who asked.

“Jungmin and Riku are twins, and Sakuya is their younger brother.” Yuta explained. “Their mom was SA’d and she died delivering Sakuya.” Yuta explained. “The witness we interrogated was taking care of the kids and he said that the three are inseparable.” Yuta added.

“and you are giving them to us? The single ones?” Kun asked, not understanding the logic.

“Give me Sakuya.” Doyoung said, handing Sion to Jaehyun who gladly took the kid.

“Give me Riku.” Ten also said and took the boy from Johnny.

Once the two kids were away from Johnny and Kun, the three started crying, not wanting to be held by others nor being separated.

“Riku!!!” Jungmin’s cries were so painful and Riku was wailing, not trusting Ten. Kun immediately took Riku while Doyoung handed Sakuya to Johnny, the three immediately calmed down.

“Case and point, the three wanted you.” Taeyong explained.

“We are also taking care of our own, if we could separate them we would have but at this point, you are their safe haven.” Yuta explained.

“I have to live with him?” Kun asked, face grimaced while looking at Johnny.

“As If I want to live with you?!” Johnny retorted.

“We know, you tolerate each other at most but please, for the kids, just deal with it.” Taeyong informed them. “CPS is already arranging a larger apartment for the two of you. You don’t need to play house, you just need to keep the kids safe while we work on their trauma and find them a forever home.” Taeyong reminded them.

“I Like my apartment just fine.” Kun said and Taeyong raised a brow.

“You two need to live together, you want Johnny into your apartment?” Taeyong asked and Kun sighed but nodded.

“moving is too much, I have a lot of stuff.” Kun said.

“If he’s going to keep his apartment, I am gonna keep my car.” Johnny piped up. “Not going to compromise that, and not using that small box for my car.” Johnny added making Kun glare at him, curse already on the tip of his tongue.

“You know what, shut the fudge up because I am tired, it has been a long day and I need to tuck Jaehee to bed.:” Taeil stood up, fed up with the way Johnny and Kun are being insufferable. “It’s just a few months, you can deal with it.” Taeil said then walked out the room, with Jungwoo following him while carrying a drowsy Jaehee.

“Here, their allowance.” Taeyong handed Kun the card. “It’s not much but we are trying our best for them. IF we have a choice, we would really not resort to this.” Taeyong told both agents. “Just do it for the kids’ sake, they’ve been through so much.” Taeyong reminded them and both Johnny and Kun sighed but just accepted their fate.

“I’ll just grab my bag.” Johnny said, sounding defeated while he took Jungmin’s hand and led him out of the room while holding Sakuya.

“Give me Sakuya.” Kun said as he walked next to Johnny. “You’re gonna carry that big duffle bag.” kun reminded him and Johnny just nodded, handing the baby safely to Kun.

They walked in silence down the hall and towards their office. Resonance unit is a on the 5th floor, divided into sections that works on different cases at any point of time. Kun was head of Weishen, dealing with international cases, especially cracking down on the Chinese and South East Asian cartels while Johnny was under Taeyong’s Neo unit focusing on Korea’s Mafia and Japanese Yakuza.  Kun led Riku towards his unit, explaining how he’ll just grab his bag so they can leave with Johnny. Riku sat on the sofa and waited as Kun shuffled around, grabbing his things as quickly as possible. Kun looked around once more, making sure that he did not forget anything, while cradling the baby on his arms. He chanced upon Riku, eyes wide and fear evident in those innocent brown orbs, he sighed once more, he wasn’t ready to be a foster dad, but he can’t let these poor boys live in trauma forever.

“ready to go home?” Kun asked Rku, extending a hand and the boy nodded and immediately held the older’s hand.

Johnny had a smaller room shared with two more agents since he wasn’t the leader, the room was a little cramped but Jungmin did not complain as he sat on a chair Johnny pointed out. He took a few things from his desk and then took the huge duffel bag from his cabinet, his spare clothes that he kept in case of emergency. He won’t be able to go home tonight and he was sure kun doesn’t have clothes large enough to fit him so he’ll be really needing these clothes. Johnny was not really on board, he love to have kids down the line but not now, and not with someone who hated his guts for whatever trivial reason.

“Hey buffy, you okay?” Johnny asked and Jungmin nodded.

“slweepy.” Jungmin responded and jOhnny rubbed the toddler’s head and lead them towards the ellevator.

Taeyong was waiting for them at the lobby, handing them three car seats for the kids which they would definitely need to safely transport the boys. “I’ll help you guys.” Taeyong said, because that is a lot of car seats to carry.

Kun placed Sakuya on one of the seats and took it while Taeyong carried the other two. Johnny unlocked his car, and it was good choice too because Johnny’s larger SUV is needed for them to fit three kids in car seats and two adults, plus Johnny need the leg room.

---

They had to do it for the kids.

When they had rescued the kids, they unknowingly became the children’s safe place, their refuge. And although they really don’t get along as agents, they had to work together for the sake of the kids who had lost their mother and had only each other left in this cruel world.

Kun had opened his apartment and Johnny wasn’t expecting such a cozy place, with many knickknacks here and there, and pretty sky photos neatly framed that lined the walls. Their first night though was not an easy one, since the boys did not want to be separated from each other nor their two care givers. But their beds weren’t big enough to accommodate all five of them, making  the capricorn in Kun did what a capricorn would do and just took a bunch of comforters and blankets then laid on the carpeted floor in the living room so they can all sleep in peace.

The kids took it well but the adults, not so much. They wanted rest but when Jungmin clung to Johnny, tiny fist clenched as he seek the safety in his caregiver’s presence, or Riku settling next to Kun, the toddler sighing in relief as he felt the arm around him, nurturing and safe, they had to just deal with it, sore back be damned. They figured that the comforters were an upgrade for the kids who may have slept on cold concrete floor, exposed to the elements and only each other for warmth and comfort.

The morning was awkward but Kun was courteous enough to extend cooking breakfast for his partner.

“Did you sleep well?” Kun asked Johnny who grumbled.

“We need to buy something more comfortable.” Johnny replied and Kun agreed. “What is in the schedule?” Johnny asked and Kun shook his head.

“None, we are on a break for a week to ease the kids. We need to take the kids to the hospital for check up and we should buy some things for them. Sakuya needs his formula and diapers, Riku and Jungmin would need warmer clothes.” Kun informed him.

“Okay, that’s doable.” Johnny replied. “Let’s buy some mattress too, my back will kill me.” Johnny remarked making Kun laugh.

“You’re just old.” Kun replied.

“You’re just a year younger. You’re old too.” Johnny spat back.

“We need to buy strollers too.” Kun added.

“I don’t think the CPS budget would be enough.” Johnny reminded him.

“Don’t care, I’d rather buy them for the comfort.” Kun shrugged his shoulders.

“I see, you’re the type to buy a lot without looking at the price tag.” Johnny pointed out.

“You are too, You have multiple camera and phones.” Kun said and Johnny was surprised.

“Stalking me?” Johnny asked with a grin.

“You brag about it at the office.” Kun replied as he rolled his eyes.

“Fair enough.” Johnny rested his case.

---

Both Johnny and Kun were fuming while the doctor checked on the boys. They were malnourished and abused. They had to be tested with X-ray to ensure that there were no broken bones, due to the bruises that they have on their bodies. The doctor had given them supplements and diets so they could recover quickly. That was more than what the CPS budgeted but if Kun and Johnny would be caregivers to these kids, they will do it like they are their parents because the kids deserve the best care.

After getting their supplements from the pharmacy, Kun and Johnny went to a baby store to get them some convertible strollers because they don’t have the space for three car seats and three strollers. The attendants were really helpful in demonstrating the models that they ended up with a model that can be connected so a single parent can’t still navigate all three strollers. They also bought some clothes for the kids, and Kun found out that Johnny is obsessed with cute stuff, like literally cooed at the fluffy onesies for the kids, even getting Jungmin and Riku matching bear  onesie. Sakuya gets his own fluffy cat onesie. Kun was confused at the excitement of the giant of a partner but smiled lovingly as both Jungmin and Riku enjoyed wearing the onesies, and never taking them off.

“You have adorable kids sir.” The attendant remarked and Kun could not tell him that they are not really his sons.

“guess we will need a couple more pairs of those onesies.” Kun replied and the attendant nodded, taking the whole set of panda bear, brown bear and polar bear for the kids.

Kun and Johnny had fought for the payment but the cashier just took both card and split it. They walked out the shop with bags and bags of merchandise for the kids but the smiles on the boys were worth it.

They had to do grocery run next but the kids had gone hungry so they decided to go to a fast food chain to give the kids a taste of some burger. The twins were so adorable munching and both Kun and Johnny was just too engrossed with the cuteness that they looked like such a happy family from the unknowing eyes.

The stroller proved to be helpful as the kids were almost in a comma after the food so they were tucked into their strollers, each clutching a stuffed toy and nodding to sleep with every passing minute. They had to stock up on essentials and some more healthier options for the growing kids, and maybe they argued a couple more time but it looked liked a couple banter that one of the older ladies shook her head and took a cereal box and handed it to Kun.

“This one is good for them.” She said. “You are such a cute family.” She added then walked away, not giving Kun nor Johnny time to refute the claims of a happy family.

After their grocery run, Johnny’s SUV stocked up with too many to count bags of merchandise, they dropped by a mattress store and picked up something for their living room which would be delivered to them later which was a relief because they do not have space for anything.

The last on their list is getting some clothes from Johnny’s apartment, but the kids were running hungry so they decided to bring the kids over and Kun would prepare something edible for them to share. Johnny packed up his suitcase with his work clothes and a bunch of hoodies and pants, something comfortable for lounging and presentable should they leave the house. Once he was done, he took one of his stuffed toys to bring because that was his comfort and he’ll just bear Kun’s mocking.

Kun merely raised his brow seeing the stuffed whale but did not say anything making Johnny confused.

“I have a stuffed panda on my bed, I won’t judge you for your choice of stuffed toy.” Kun replied as he shrugged his shoulder, then attended to Jungmin who was struggling with his chicken.

“That’s interesting.” Johnny replied, also attending to Riku who happily thanked Johnny for the help in the food. “Sakuya?” Johnny asked and Kun gestured towards the living room where the kid was wide eyed as he watched some cartoons, already fed and happy. “We’re really doing this for 6 months?” Johnny asked making Kun sigh.

“It’s like we have a choice, these kids could have been in much more suffering should we not step up.” Kun replied as he wiped Jungmin’s cheeks.

“true.” Johnny replied.

“There’s a plate for you.” Kun said and Johnny eyed the plate on the counter.

“Have you eaten?” Johnny asked and Kun shook his head. “Then join me, and don’t tell me you’re on a diet, you are not fat Kun. You are fit and your body is amazing.” Johnny remarked making Kun blush.

“How d’you know?” Kun asked.

“We used to train Kun, I’ve seen you shirtless.” Johnny said nonchalantly but it made Kun’s cheeks a deeper shade of pink and his ears a little warm and red.

---

2 days of domesticity were enough for Kun and Johnny so they strapped their brood of three and they came to the office to work on their cases, and there is such a long list of paper works needed to be filed for operation Wish. Johnny left the three kids to Kun since he was the one with the office while he shared it with other colleagues. He was busy at work when there was a knock and when he opened it, it was Riku who pulled him out of his cubicle and towards Kun’s office. Kun was seating on his chair, Jungmin on his lap and Sakuya happily drinking his milk, and what seemed to be lunch was spread on Kun;s table. Riku dragged him to seat across Kun and he climbed up his lap, eager to start eating with his family.

“Itadakimasu!” Kun said with a smile and the twins greeted along making Johnny smile at the cuteness of the toddlers.

“Here you go baobei.” Kun handed Jungmin his training chopsticks and Johnny did the same to Riku.

The kids happily but messily ate and it made both Kun and Johnny busy but happy seeing how the boys have been adjusting, smiling more and really enjoying life as they should.

“We have a consultation with the psychologist?” Johnny asked and Kun nodded.

“I am also thinking of a speech therapist, they are mixing korean and Japanese, I want to give them the best opportunity with either language.” Kun added.

“So you want to learn Japanese?” Johnny asked and Kun shrugged.

‘I am already learning english, might as well learn another so I can catch up with Yongqin.” Kun replied makign Johnyn laugh, and in turn Jungmin and Riku laugh as well.

“Yo really call him by his chinese name?” Johnny asked and Kun nodded.

“He has such a beautiful name, such a waste if not mentioned. But don’t tell him that.” Kun said and Johnny laughed some more but promised not to indulge Ten with another arsenal for teasing Kun.

“And what is my name in Chinese?” Johnny asked making Kun raise his brow. “It’s Youngho.” Johnny said and Kun hummed a little, helping Jungmin with his kimchi.

“Yinghao.” Kun uttered. “Braveness and abundance.” He added and it made Johnny smile.

I like the sound of that.” Johnny replied in Chinese making Kun’s eyes wide. “I know a thing or two.” Johnny quickly added making Kun smile and nod.

---

On their 3rd month as the caregivers, Johnny and Kun had  made a routine and it surprised their workmates because how can these two agents who barely got along are now handling three kids expertly like they had been married for at least a decade. Doyoung nudge his husband who grinned at the direction of Kun and Johnny and shared a knowing look while they keep Sion entertained. They were all gathered inside the conference room to discuss new projects and a bombshell from the CPS.

“The kids are going to meet prospect adoptive parents.” Taeyong announced and the foster guardians were surprised, they were given 6 months, it is barely 3 months in. “The CPS thinks that the earlier they get matched, the better chance they get to be adopted once the 6 months are up.” Taeyong added.

“But if we, let’s say we want to adopt the kid, can we?” Doyoung asked and Taeyong blinked at him.

“Are you thinking of adopting Sion?” Taeyong asked and Doyoung shared a look with Jaehyun who nodded.

“We talked about it, he completed us. We want him to be our son.” Jaehyun replied.

“I’ll have to ask CPS, let me call them.” Taeyong said and soon enough loaded the screen where a CPS manager answered the call.

“I was made aware of your interest to adopt one of the kids?” Ms. Shin asked and both Doyoung and Jaehyun nodded. “Well, you can be put on the list for screening, but there are qualifications. Since they are from traumatic backgrounds, we will only consider couples, married couples to be able to provide the kids with a normal family life, as normal as the couple could provide.” Ms. Shin explained and Doyoung raised his hand to show his wedding ring.

”We are married, we are eligible.” Doyoung eagerly answered.

‘I’ll send Taeyong the other qualifications and requirements. If you get shortlisted, we will schedule and interview for assessment.” Ms. SHin explained further. “Thank you for considering adoption.” She said and then bid her good bye.

“That is a lot to take in Doyoung, are you sure?” Taeyong asked and Doyoung nodded.

“We want him. He belongs to us.” Doyoung replied and Taeyong nodded.

“I wish you luck then.” Taeyong smiled and Doyougn smiled back.

---

The interview schedule for Riku, Jungmin and Sakuya to meet their prospect adoptive parents arrived and both Johnny and Kun drove the kids to the CPS. They were able to observe the interview along with the other CPS evaluators behind a one-way mirror. The couple seemed to be good ones and they engaged the kids. Riku seemed to be a little less enthusiastic, and Jungmin withdrawn, which was not the case when they were both with Johnny and Kun.  By the third interview, Kun bolted out of the room with Johnny following after him. He stopped the partner by the end of the corridor before he got to the emergency stairs. He tirned Kun around and was surprised to see the younger’s eyes welling up and lips quivering.

“what’s wrong Kun?” Johnny asked.

“That should be me. THey are my sons. I can’t let them go and live with others, they are my sons.” Kun sobbed.

“They are not yours Kun.” Johnny replied and Kun pushed Johnny away but the older grabbed his wrists and pulled him into a hug. “They are our sons, ours.” Johnny replied and it made Kun cry a little louder.

“I can’t let them go to others Johnny, I can’t.” Kun repeated and Johnny let the younger go and cupped his cheeks.

“We can have them, we can submit an application.” Johnny answered him.

“They need a couple Johnny, a married couple. We… we are colleagues at most, enemies for the most part.” Kun reminded him.

“We can get married.” Johnny answered once more.

“I am not going to jail for fraud.” Kun yanked Johnny’s hands off of him.

“I am not asking you to marry me just for fraud Kun, I don’ even see you as my enemy.” Johnny informed him.

“Stop joking, you called me an apple when we first met.” Kun spat at him.

‘I never called you an apple!” Johnny defended himself.

“You called me pinguo.” Kun reminded him.

“yeah, a friend.” Johnny replied.

“that’s pengyou.” Kun corrected him and it made Johnny’s eyes widen at the mistake.

“so you hated me because I called you an apple? You could’ve corrected me!” Johnny exclaimed making Kun silent. “But you called me a big brown bear! You said I was scary!” Johnny now pointed a finger at Kun.

“When did I say that?” Kun asked, confused about the revelation.

“I overheard you say it to Ten.” Johnny pouted.

“Well you obviously did not stay long enough to hear how I said you were cuddly like a teddy bear.” Kun informed him and at that their eyes both widened knowing what misunderstanding they had back then, making them feel animosity with ach other.

“We… “ Kun started and looked at Johnny in the eyes.

“Stupid.” Johnny smacked his forehead. “Stupid.” He repeated. “I like you Kun and I was tryign to impress you with my Chinese, I didn’t even know I called you an apple!” Johnny explained and Kun’s eyes were wavering.

“You liked me?” Kun asked and Johnny shook his head.

“Like, present tense.” Johnny corrected him.

“Oh.” Kun lowered his head and contemplated.  “That changes everything.” Kun said and in an instant, he had pulled Johnny by his collar and allowed their lips to meet in such an experimental first kiss.

“So, will you marry me?” Johnny asked and Kun laughed then nodded.

“Let’s get that application rolling.” Kun replied and they both walked hand in hand towards  Ms. Shin’s office.

---

“You two are getting married?” MS. Shin asked and the two nodded. “You’re not committing fraud are you?” She asked again and the two shook his head.

“We wouldn’t want to get in jail, who would look after the kids if that happens.” Kun replied.

“You two never seemed to be romantic, even Taeyong had his reservations when we first assigned the kids to you both.” She informed them.

“We were stupid and we never figured out that we liked each other.” Johnny answered her. “The cute dates we could’ve done when we were not stuck up assholes.” Johnny pursed his lips.

“Why now?” She asked them.

“We realized how stupid we were, and even if we don’t get to adopt the kids, well at least we are both aware now that we in fact not hate each other.” Kun answered.

“We actually wanted to bang each other.” Johnny added making MS. Shin laugh and Kun to hit him his arm.

“You know what, let me make a gamble.” She smiled and led them outside.

---

Jungmin and Riku were both tired and Sakuya was already getting cranky when the door opened and the last pair of parents entered. When the boys saw Kun and Johnny, they immediately lit up and the three wanted to be with their guardians as soon as possible. Kun took Sakuya who immediately smiled at Kun and giggled when Johnny bopped his nose. Kun sat on the chair and Johnny followed after, taking the twins to sit on his lap.

“I guess you’re the wild card.” The interviewer asked and they both nodded. “So how ready are you to take care of the kids?” She asked and the smiles on Johnny’s and Kun’s faces were enough to confirm that this is the kids’ best option.

Johnny and Kun registered their marriage that weekend but they decided to hold the ceremony after they officially get the kids since they wanted them to be included. They did not inform their colleagues too because they really want this to be special for their family.

They did however, prepare for Sakuya’s first birthday, and the toddler was adorable when he did the doljanbi. The two were beaming as they invited the 18 members of resonance. Sakuya was adorable as he crawled all around the apartment and when he chose the bread squishy, Kun and Johnny were both laughing for their youngest. It was  beautiful celebration and both hoped that they could really keep this for much longer.

In the middle of celebrating Riku and Jungmin’s birthday, the CPS  dropped by their apartment to the chaos of kids and adults partying the afternoon away. Ms. Shin greeted them happily and took both Kun and Johnny to the kitchen to talk about the kids. The two were extremely nervous about the talk but when Ms. Shin produced an acceptance letter and a court ruling of the adoption of the kids, Kun and Johnny broke down crying and hugging each other. The cries weren’t unnoticed so the twins ran up to them and tried to comfort them only to be enveloped in a tight hug. Ms. Shin congratulated them once more, greeted the boys a happy birthday before leaving them to celebrate the rest of the afternoon.

“What happened?” Yuta asked when the four emerged from the kitchen.

Johnny did not reply but handed them the documents. Yuta skimmed through it, with the others hunching over to read it only to burst out screaming and jumping then hugging the two friends who finally got their adoption finalized.

“Wait a minute, how can you be eligible for adoption?” Taeil asked and both Kun and Johnny grinned at him before taking out the necklaces hiding behind their shirt; The pendant was ring and they are matching. “You’re married?” Taeil asked and the two nodded.

“I thought I was your favorite! You did not even tell me ge?” Chenle piped up, cradling Sakuya.

“We were waiting for the adoption to finalize before we announce it. And we are putting off the ceremony too.” Kun answered the younger.

“You know what, I don’t care, finally.” Ten was crying. “You two stupid assholes oblivious of each other’s feelings.” He added.

“That is why you are the best man.” Johnny announced and they all laughed.

Notes:

A/n: that was crappy. But I wanted to post this one already.
