    Wylan, Jesper, and Inej are leaving Ketterdam for a few months when a strange storm destroys their ship and covers Ketterdam in an impenetrable fog. When it clears, Ketterdam is gone. The rest of the Crows must struggle through losing their family and the city that they once called home. Through it all, they struggle to live in a world without Kerch, without the harbor, and without Kaz.

    A companion fic to "A State of Separation": you can read this without having read SoS, but it would be more fun if you also read that one :)
