Chapter 1: Hacking Stockman

Chapter Text

“Baxter Stockman? Is that you?” Donatello looked at the hologram emanating from his wristband in shock. “How did you-”

“There’s no time!” the brain called out through the transmission, switching over to live video footage of a mech suit stomping towards Leo. “follow my instructions to the letter or your brothers are going to be shredded!”

Donny’s heart sank as he stared in shock at the video for a moment, then looked up at Splinters data bits that he’d been moments away from collecting before the rude interruption. He looked once more back at the video to find Leo being held by the throat by the mech, oddly similar to the Shredder.

He had to make the choice between his brothers and his father.

He shook his head, huffing. His fathers data bits would reappear, but if he lost his brothers…

“Alright, tell me what to do.”

Stockman gave him swift instructions: disconnect him from the Cyber Shredders control and he would save his brothers. Easy enough.

Once he climbed out of the data dump, he pulled up his vehicle and hopped on, using Stockmans directions to find the data vault where the Shredder resided. He sped in, finding his enemy connected through flashing yellow to the same mech suit he saw before, a line of the yellow light spread between them.

Donny sped up, stood on his bike, and connected both pieces of his tech-bo together. He wouldn’t let Shredder hurt his brothers, not if he could help it.

And the only reason they were in such danger was because he was too focused on fixing a different mistake. He hadn’t considered that could lead to him making another.

He leapt off the bike and swung the bo down onto the connection between the shredder and the mech.

It was severed and the Shredder screeched, the light surrounding him flashing like electricity. He recovered quickly and turned on Donny, attacking him with his claws and various glowing whips of energy.

He dodged most of the attacks easily, trying to give his brothers the time they needed. Don spun his staff and swung, hitting the Cyber shredder in the face and flinging him back, all while hearing Stockman through the intercom being reconnected to the mech body and rebooting his firewall.

There was a pause while the tin can tried to get back up, and Don turned to see a blue field forming around the mech. “Calibrating system protection… The Shredder has been eradicated from my system.”

Don knew that was his cue to leave, and summoned his bike. He took the chance to hop on as he asked a question. “Stockman, my brothers?”

Stockman smiled through the transition. “Are really lucky you’re the smart one.”

Don smiled, looking forward at the exit from the data bank that housed their enemy as the transmission ended. He knew he needed to get back soon.

He had to apologize.

The bike jolted, and screeched to a halt, the front wheel burning rubber as the back was caught by one of the Shredders tendrils. Don gasped, turning back to look at it, and then up at the Cyber Shredder.

“You are not going anywhere.
