Summary
Years had passed by since that day on the bridge. The day Zabuza nearly lost Haku and realized he never wanted to be placed in that position again. Though both men were several years older and far wiser than they had been, their bond remained as strong as ever. Among the many things they had gone through – good and bad – they remained by each other's side. No matter how desperately he had clung to their strictly one-sided transactional relationship, Zabuza frequently slipped up. In fact, he quickly realized that Haku had been the professional one in their setup. The boy had devoted himself as nothing more than a tool to be honed. Zabuza, under that hardened exterior, was not much more than a big softie.
At least, that was what Haku liked to call him.
