Chapter Text
Peter Parker, better known as Spider-Man, was enjoying life. Well, after he constantly apologized to Norman after the whole him-becoming-a-villain-bent-on-revenge situation. Norman keeps telling him it was Kraven's fault, not his. Honestly, Peter can not let Norman return to evil despite his heroic efforts like Otto.
As he returns to his apartment, he is surprised to see an old man in front of the door.
"Can I help you?" Peter asks.
The old man chuckles.
"Really, Pete? Do I look a senile old man?" The man asks in a familiar voice. Too familiar. It takes Peter two seconds to realize why.
"Wha-Eddie Brock?! Why and how are you-?"
"It's a long story. I take it you got your own stories to share?"
Recovering from his shock, Peter nodded. The two men had a lot to catch up on.
The two veterans entered Peter's apartment.

The two men sat on the couch, with Peter serving May's favorite tea.
"Let me get this straight. You're now king of symbiotes across a multiversal hive, AKA a multiversal god?!" Peter shouts.
"You don't see me complaining, former avatar of the Great Weaver AND the Other," Eddie teases.
"How do you know about- You know what, I'm done asking."
Eddie laughs wholeheartedly.
"So, one, where's Venom, and two, how's Dylan?" Peter asks, ignoring his previous statement.
"Dylan has Venom. I gave him my blessing to take my former title as the new Venom," Eddie explains. "I heard Norman's a good guy now."
"Yep, even became a superhero called the Gold Goblin. Nearly killed him when Kraven stabbed me with a moral switch spear."
"There's a thing like that? I don't even want to know what you're like being an actual bad guy."
"It still haunts me. I could have killed him."
"But you didn't. Because you finally got what you wanted. Well, one of the things."
"I'm just waiting for life to screw me over someday."
"Heh. Same here. How's MJ?"
Peter looked away sadly.
"She's... with a guy named Paul."
Eddie had expected this from how toxic she could be.
"Parker, you know what I'm going to say."
"Yeah, I know. It's just been hard to move forward from that. That and Ben becoming..."
Eddie puts his hand on Peter's shoulder.
"I know. But we both know you're strong enough to handle it."
Peter smiles.
"Thanks, Brock. Now back to you. What's it like to be the "King in Black" as you say?"
"Stressful. Been in the hivemind for a while. My rapidly aging body does not help. Found out it can span through multiple universes."
"Wow. Can't believe there's a Venomverse."
"The Spiderverse is more believable?"
"Touche."
Before they could continue talking, they saw Herman Schultz, AKA the Shocker, hailing a strange device through the window, with police after him.
"Duty calls," Peter says.
"I'm coming with you," Eddie offers.
"You sure? How are you going to...?"
Eddie interrupts him when a symbiote covers his body into a replica of his Venom look.
"Perks of being the new King in Black," Eddie explains.
"Okay. Let's do this," Peter says as he puts his mask on.

"Hey, Herman!" Spidey shouts as he knocks over the truck.
"Ugh, Spider-Man! A-And Venom?!" Shocker shouts, recovering from the crash.
"Surprised?" Venom laughs darkly before firing a tendril at the villain.
Shocker dodges it and fires his sonic attacks, being able to land them on Venom as he screams in pain.
Webs then jam the sonic gauntlets as Spider-Man dive-kicks Shocker in the face. He then ties him up before chucking Shocker into the symbiote king.
"Hey, Venom! Special delivery!"
Venom grabs the flying Shocker before bringing him to his face and roaring.
Shocker screams like a little girl, desperate to fire his jammed weapons, much to Spidey's amusement.
Venom then constantly slams Shocker to the ground before throwing him back at Spider-Man.
Spider-Man answers this with a flying uppercut to the stomach.
The hero and anti-hero web him to the ground, before Spidey gestures for a fist bump. Which Venom accepts.
After Spider-Man and Venom defeated the usual bank robber, they asked him a...couple of questions.
"Alright, Hermy. Who asked you to be their errand boy this time?"
"If you want both arms left on your body."
"Don't hurt me! Some scientist threatened to blow up the space-and-time bomb I was escorting! I don't want to die!" Shocker screams in fear.
Spider-Man and Venom both heard a tick-tock from behind them. From the device they apprehended.
"Millions of people could get hurt!"
"We need to get this thing out of orbit!"
Spider-Man calls his Spider-Glider named Bug before riding it. He then tries to carry the bomb, but the thing is too heavy.
"Let us help," Venom says.
"How? Even if both of us can carry it, how can we fly-?"
Venom then sprouts wings from his back
"I have got to stop asking."
The hero and anti-hero carry the bomb and fly up the skies.
The farther they are from the atmosphere, the less time they have.
"Will you be alright in space, Parker?" Venom asks.
"Not the first time I held my breath, Brock," Spider-Man responds.
As soon as they leave the Earth, the bomb explodes in a bright light and a dark shadow. As the light and darkness faded, neither saviors were seen.

"Parker! Wake Up!"
Peter raises his head in agony.
"Huh? What happened?"
Spider-Man sees Venom with a broken Bug before looking around to see an unfamiliar city.
Venom throws some clothes at Spider-Man.
"Stole some clothes," Venom explained.
Seeing no other option, due to his only clothing being his spandex tights, Peter puts on the new clothes.
Venom fades back to Eddie with a surprising twist.
"Um, Eddie?"
"Yeah, Pete?"
"You should look at a mirror or something."
Eddie raises his eyebrow before looking at himself using a trash can lid. He was younger before he became the Onyx God.
"I'm...young again?" Eddie asks before looking at Peter. "You look younger as well."
"Really?" Peter asks. He looked at himself and seemed to lose about a good amount of years. "Nice. Now, where are we?"
Eddie gives him a pamphlet.
"Gotham?" Peter asks.
He doesn't think he ever heard of this city. Then he widens his eyes before looking at Eddie.
"Afraid it's what it looks," Eddie confirmed.
Peter sighs.
"Look's like we're not in Kansas anymore.."
